Trip Informations
Explore Peru in style on this 15-day adventure, journeying from coastal plains to ancient cities that sit on mountaintops. As you travel through Lima, Puno, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo, and Aguas Calientes, uncover the architecture, stunning Andean landscapes, Inca ruins, colourful markets and fascinating local culture. Visit the famed Machu Picchu – one of the Seven Wonders of the World – and opt to take the One Day Inca Trail trek to experience the ancient citadel from two angles. Rub shoulders with the locals with two pachamanca meals – one in the middle of the desert near the Nazca Lines in a local’s home and one in the Andean highlands community of Huilloq. With the guidance of a local leader, you’ll get beneath the surface of this captivating country and leave with a deeper understanding of Peru’s history, wildlife, cuisine and people.
Why you’ll love this trip
See the famed Machu Picchu – perched high in the Andes on a mountaintop, surrounded by mountain rainforest – and discover the secrets and history of this iconic Inca ruin.
Spend a full day exploring the floating islands of Uros (made entirely of reeds) on Lake Titicaca and make the most of the chance to meet the local Uru people who live here.
Witness the giant desert inscriptions of the Nazca Lines – one of Peru's greatest unsolved mysteries – from the viewing tower. Then, head to a local’s home in the middle of the desert for a traditional pachamanca dinner.
Visit the scenic Sacred Valley, where you’ll stop for lunch in the Huilloq community and participate in their ceremony blessing Pachamama. Listen to their life stories of the Andean highlands and learn more about their fascinating culture through a textile demonstration.
Choose to trek the One Day Inca Trail – an excellent option for those wanting to experience trekking in Peru – and see the famed Wonder of the World twice.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Tuuur Foundation partner, Awamaki. Donations help them empower indigenous women artisans in Peru with skills training and job opportunities that provide financial independence.

The Majestic Peru tour is fantastic for those wanting to see the real Peru, not just Machu Picchu. Highlights for me were flying over the Nasca Lines, boat trip on Lake Titicaca and of course visiting Machu Picchu- spectacular! Hotels used were clean and comfortable. The food in Peru is delicious.

This trip was far more challenging than any of our group thought it would be with long long days of travel, extremes in temperature and the altitude. However, it was an amazing experience with the highlight being Machu Picchu. We were lucky to see people still living traditional lives and to be in Cusco at Inti Raymi. Our tour guide Shirley was fabulous and local guides knowledgeable. Cannot recommend this trip enough. Just do it!

Majestic Peru was certainly Majestic, we saw & did so much. There were some long days of travel but it was so worth it as we saw everything that we wanted. Our flight over the Nazca lines was awesome. We loved seeing Arequipa & learnt so much about the landscape on our way. Puna was challenging because of the altitude but we wouldn’t have missed it. Lake Titicaca was amazing especially the floating islands. It was a pleasure to see the locals on Taquile Island, we enjoyed seeing all the colourful clothing & dancing. We enjoyed the super comfortable public tourist bus ride to Cusco. Cusco was amazing we arrived during all the celebrations for the solstice, wow what a show. We enjoyed our visit to the Inca fortress of Sacsayhauman and the Inca city in Ollantaytambo. A highlight for us was the visit to the AMA restaurant in Uruamba & learning about how the cafe & Intrepid support single mothers. Another highlight was the visit to the Huilloq community for lunch. It was wonderful to interact with the locals we learnt a lot about their way of life & enjoyed a lovely lunch. The train ride to Aguas Calientas was awesome. Our main reason for visiting Peru was of course Machu Picchu and we did it. We had an early start which was so north it. As the clouds lifted we had a magnificent view and a beautiful sunny day. What an adventure, our drivers were very skilled and our guide Shirley was the best. We wouldn’t have been able to make this trip without her guidance, knowledge and friendship. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure.

This trip gives the visitor a deeper understanding of Peru than those that concentrate mainly on Machu Picchu. Enrique was a-great guide who took care of all our needs and made us feel very safe. Its a very active trip that covers a lot of territory. We enjoyed seeing the diverse areas.
