Trip Informations

Travelling from Madrid to Marrakech, immerse yourself in the history of each destination, exploring ancient cultures through art, design, language and religion, trying local delicacies along the way. Why you’ll love this trip
verified
Wander around Salamanca's lit up Plaza Mayor by night and explore the cobblestoned streets of Seville by day – Andalusia's largest city.
verified
Enjoy an unforgettable Fado performance in Coimbra. Fado is an emotional form of Portuguese music which often expresses the hard realities of daily life, balancing both resignation and hopefulness.
verified
Make the most of your free time in Lisbon – this city has so much to offer, from its beautiful museums, monuments and parks to its famous trams, bars and restaurants.
verified
Buy fresh local produce at the morning market during your stay in the Algarve and soak up the sun on the beaches. As the day winds down, experience the magic of an unforgettable sunset over the vast Atlantic Ocean.
verified
Explore the twisting, colourful labyrinthine streets of the Fes and Marrakech medinas with local guides to lead you to all of the best spots and ensure you don't get lost!
Is this trip right for you?
verified
Please keep your luggage as small and light as possible. You'll be travelling on public transport where storage space is limited. You'll need to be able to lift your luggage into storage racks, walk across cobblestone streets with it and carry it up and down stairs.
verified
This trip covers a lot of ground and the majority of travel is done by trains, ferries and public buses. It's a good time to sit back, relax and let the scenery roll past your window. Please read the Itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.
verified
Summer temperatures can be extreme in this region (over 40C/104F). It’s important to use sun protection, wear layers to combat the heat, and drink plenty of water. Many hotels in Europe and Morocco have fans, not air conditioning. Please carefully consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season.
verified
Space is at a premium in Europe and Morocco and your hotel is no exception. Rooms are often small, but usually the central location makes up for that. For those travelling as a duo, hotels often don't have double beds, but rather two single beds that can be pushed together.
verified
Ramadan is an annual month-long festival, during which travel can be a rewarding cultural experience, however some regular services may not be available during the day, such as restaurants or cafes, and occasionally travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider this when selecting your travel dates. You’ll find dates and further information in the ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section of the Essential Trip Information.

Andrei was amazing!!!
A super-guide if their were one!
He was a #1 World Class traveller having been to almost place on Earth, including Mount Everest Base Camp, North Korea and all the Americas.
With every Intrepid trip Ive taken, from his initial introduction I could tell he was an avid traveller and wanted to show people a great trip, he did not disappoint!!!
During the trip, he made sure everyone was taken care of, organized all the various tickets and transportation with absolute ease, and showed us everything he could! His adaptability with all the changing times went smoothly, and he was very patient with everyone and their individual likes/needs during the travelling moments.
His knowledge about everything he described within the History of Spain and Portugal was immaculate! He much very took solid time to really tour us around the local areas and show us the best of travels he has had beforehand.
He really took the time, effort, and personal considerations of every member of the group, including when several members of the group became very sick over a few days.
His WhatsApp messages were super informative, very helpful, written well, and included many recommendations of some of the best restaurants and places to go during the day. Even when the group was out of the hotel during certain times, he was clearly taking time to do his homework to making sure our trip never had a dull or bad moment, Ensuring a completely stress-free trip!!! Only the best for Intrepid travellers!!!
During the trip, he would also talk about the various countries he’s been to, even furthering my excitement in wanting to go more places if I could.
And when crossed the Strait of Gibraltar, before, during and after he ensured a smooth transition between the transportation, Customs, and pick-up on the other side in Morrocco.
It was extremely difficult to say goodbye to our trusted tour guide for the past 10 days.
Ive been on 12 Intrepid trips to 14 different countries.
After 12 different Intrepid trips, I can honestly say he was the best!!!
I wish him all the best in making sure he continues to be such an amazing Intrepid Tour Leader!!!
As always, I have so much faith, trust and thanks in Intrepid with ensuring there is little to no stress in the trips Ive taken with Intrepid, and their extremely helpful personnel!

Intrepid does not disappoint - everything about this trip was so enjoyable. We had great leaders, a fun small group and a great introduction to all three countries. Morocco was the big surprise for us - a beautiful country! Tack on the Intrepid three day Sahara Short Break tour and you get the absolute best of Morocco!!!

Fantastic 15‑day journey through Spain, Portugal, and Morocco with great cultural immersion and varied experiences. Excellent tour leaders, Clara and Ismail, were supportive, knowledgeable, and fun. The itinerary could be improved with two days in Seville and one in Faro. There’s still so much to see in Seville. :-) Highly recommend.
