An Indiana Jones style vacation. My 5th solo trip with Intrepid (M, 34), and the groups and guides are always excellent. This itinerary was quick but well rounded, with less long road days than other intrepid trips I’ve done. We explored ruined Mayan cities, waded through caves filled with 1000 year old skeletons, and swam in crystal clear waters with sharks and rays. Highly recommend an extra day in Caye Caulker and the ATM Cave excursion. Note that most meals and extra activities aren’t included so make sure you budget extra. And note that Belize is very pretty but incredibly slow slow slow, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time for unexpected delays on travel days and don’t expect 5 star service at restaurants. It’s a different pace of life but well worth it to see the unique history and landscapes on offer.

I had such a good time on this trip. The group leader was excellent and the group of travelers was so nice and diverse. It was a good balance of organized activities with free time to explore. The progression of the week also worked well with a beautiful final unforgettable day on the reef snorkeling . The food was delicious.

Amazing tour! I went solo & made friends almost immediately. Great blend of adventure & relaxation, with group activities in the morning & afternoon and several free-time evenings. Must-do add-ons: ATM caves in San Ignacio and snorkeling in Caye Caulker. Two totally unique, once in a lifetime experiences. There’s plenty of option for both the adventurous + the more laid back. Stay an extra day in Caye Caulker if you can, you’ll want it! David Martinez was an above & beyond leader, you will be in good hands!
