If you are travelling with younger children, please take into consideration that the going can be slow over the long distances and there’s often bumpy roads. Some days have driving times of 6 to 7 hours. There will be early mornings – this is when Africa is at its best.

There are two locations (four nights) of a participatory camping trip on the Kenya portion of this trip. You and your family will embrace the team spirit by helping with camp setup, food preparation and cleaning as well as putting up and taking down your tent as you move from place to place. Some accommodation upgrades may be available on the camping nights of your trip for an additional cost. If available, these will be communicated to you by your leader on the ground.

In Kenya, you will be travelling in a purpose-built overland truck vehicle. These are equipped with large sliding windows that allow for excellent game viewing, however, they don’t have air-conditioning, so they can get dusty and hot at times. In Tanzania, you will travel in smaller open-top 4WD vehicles.
