On Short Breaks, you maintain a good level of independence and freedom, with the added bonus of having the details sorted out for you. You’ll have lots of free time and you won’t be accompanied by a Trip Leader. This means that all included activities and tours will be run by different local Tuuur partners, and these may operate independently from each other. The included activities and transfers will operate on a join-in basis, which means that you could have your Adventure all to yourself, or others may join you along the way. If you would prefer to travel in a group with a dedicated Trip Leader, just get in touch with your booking agent and they will take you through some alternatives.

While nowhere near as challenging as a multi-day trek at an altitude such as Everest Base Camp, you will still need excellent fitness for this trek as you will be trekking 5 to 7 hours a day on Days 1 to 3.
verified
Take note of the time of year you are trekking to know what to expect weather wise. While June-August is monsoon, weather conditions can be unpredictable at any time of the year including rain and fog which can make views cloudy and the ground muddy.

What an experience for those not the most skilled trekker. The 3/4 day adventure is a beautiful way to see parts of Nepal you normally would not. And if you are really lucky you might even get Jangbu as your guide who is an incredible human being

As a first timer to Nepal, I found the Kathmandu Valley Trek was an awesome introduction to viewing local village life, gaining a cultural insight and sampling local Nepali cuisine.
This trek was ably led by Parbati.
The enjoyment of the trip definitely depends on your level of fitness and is not to be underestimated despite the ‘short’ nature of this 3-4 day adventure.
If you only have a few days in Kathmandu, I would highly recommend this trip.

This was my first adventure/vacation of this time. I was nervous going into it but after we met the guide and started it was nothing but an amazing experience.

It was too cloudy to see the Himalayas, but we had a good time anyway! Our guides were fantastic - friendly and knowledgeable.
