The cuisine of Italy includes a lot of meat and seafood. For vegetarians and vegans, we recommend reviewing the itinerary and inclusions to ensure that you will be able to fully participate and enjoy this trip. We also have many other trips to Italy which can accommodate a range of dietary requirements.

The primary means of transportation on this trip is by train. Trains are comfortable and all have toilets but can be quite busy. You'll have to carry your own luggage on and off the train, so make sure it doesn’t exceed our weight and size recommendations. You can find this information in the 'Packing' section of the Essential Trip Information.
verified
Don’t let the heat keep you from exploring the world! Summer temperatures can be extreme in many of the regions visited (over 40°C), which can be uncomfortable. It’s essential to use sun protection, wear layers to combat the heat and drink plenty of water. Please carefully consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season.

This was one of the best trips I have ever had the pleasure of taking. Everything was enjoyable. From the leader, to the group, we had an amazing time together and spending time alone. Although the group was a nice size, it allowed for us to have organized time together. I’d love to take another trip with this leader. He was professional and fun.

My wife and I have a passionate interest in Wine and Food and the Intrepid Food Tour exposed us to many new insights on areas such as Pasta Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil.We thought we pretty much knew it all but this tour opened our eyes to new information. The blend of foods in the organised dinners allowed us to see a wide range of Italian regional cooking

Great experience with great venues for eating and drinking. Great walks and so much to see. Magda was always available if you needed her. She also asked what else we wanted to do if there was anything the group would like. Excellent tour.

I recently concluded this incredible tour of Italy, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From start to finish, every moment was a delight. Our tour leader Emi was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights into the rich history and culture of the places we visited, which truly enhanced the experience.
The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the food. Every meal was a celebration of Italian cuisine, with each dish being more delicious than the last.
Overall, this tour exceeded my expectations in every way.
