See the Taj Mahal up close and wonder at the intricate optical illusions that decorate the marble on this masterpiece of Indian architecture.

Is this trip right for you?
This compact trip packs a lot in. It’s the shortest Indian trip we run in this style, perfect for those with little time and a desire to do the most with it. If you are after a more leisurely trip in North India, enter trip code HHSC on our website.
India can get extremely hot in the summer. While we aim to do our walking tours early in the morning when it’s cooler, remember to keep water on you and to bring a hat, sunscreen, a long-sleeved shirt, and anything else that will protect you from the sun.
Part of travelling with Tuuur means respecting local cultures and sensibilities. That way you get the most out of your interactions with local people and environments. We visit several temples on this trip and to enter them you must have clothes that cover to wrists and below the knee.
We've sourced our accommodation carefully and picked the best possible hotels in line with the Tuuur style of travel. Service and accommodation in India may be different from Western standards.

I will preface to say that this trip is not for the faint of heart. India is the most populated country on earth, so give yourself a little grace to adjust and adapt! This was the trip of a lifetime for me, being able to learn and experience a little bit of the rich culture and history of India. As a solo traveler I felt that my safety was prioritized, and I was lucky to be with an amazing group of people. Our leader Parik was so conscientious and detail-oriented, and so we were always in good hands. I fully recommend this trip and plan to return to India again in the future!

India's Golden Triangle trip was amazing. The itinerary was perfectly balanced. We saw all the main attractions while still having time to explore based on our own interests. The highlight of the trip was our tour leader, Parik. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made the trip truly special. He answered all our questions, accommodated our extra requests, and always made us feel safe. His time management was impressive, and seeing the Taj Mahal almost empty at sunrise was unforgettable. He also shared so much about India’s culture and history in a clear, friendly, and engaging way. Some of the accommodations were wonderful, especially the rural stay in the fort, which was unforgettable. Overall, this was a well-organized, memorable trip that I would highly recommend.

I had a wonderful time on this tour. Parik was a brilliant tour leader. If I had more time, I would have done a longer tour to experience more of India. But this is an excellent tour if you have a short amount of time available. Go for it!

I cannot recommend Intrepid Travel highly enough! From booking to trip completion, their support was exceptional - providing detailed information about airports, transportation, and accommodations, plus helpful visa resources and pricing guidance. Our trip leader,Dinesh, was outstanding, consistently ensuring our safety and comfort while maintaining impressive environmental consciousness, particularly in keeping us hydrated through eco-friendly practices. The included activities exceeded all expectations, offering authentic glimpses into the everyday lives of working people in India rather than typical tourist attractions. The hotel staff was amazing, the food incredible, and I loved my fellow group members. Our leader did an excellent job checking in on everyone and maintaining positive group dynamics throughout. Intrepid truly delivered on responsible, authentic travel, and I'm already planning my next adventure with them!
