According to Machu Picchu visiting regulations, all visitors must follow a pre-determined route within the site. This route must be followed in one direction only, and once the guided visit commences exiting and re-entering the site is not permitted. Once the guided visit concludes, visitors must exit the site and personal exploration of Machu Picchu is not permitted. Please refer to the Itinerary for details.

A must do tour! Such an amazing adventure. The hike was very tiring but very rewarding. The entire experience was eye opening and challenging. Weather is a big factor for this trip so you may need to pack for all seasons. Keep an open mind and you’ll be pleasantly surprised with what this tour can offer you.

We had the adventure of a lifetime on the Inca Trail. The hike was challenging but the scenery was stunning. The Intrepid team took care of us exceptionally well - Luis our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly, porters were superstars and the food was amazing! The visit to the community centre was a highlight!

The itinerary was well thought out with not too much travel time between destinations. The experience built up every day that made you appreciate the small things and finally building up seeing Machu Picchu that much more spectacular. If you’re short on time and want to see Peru, you need to book this trip!

My trip with Intrepid in Cusco was absolutely incredible! The itinerary, food, and organization were top-notch, but the standout was our guide, Whilder, who was knowledgeable, supportive, and made the group feel like family. This experience exceeded all expectations, and I can’t wait to travel with Intrepid again!
