Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Make the most of Iceland at night during the midnight sun, a period in summer when the sun doesn't set for almost 24 hours!
Explore one of Europe’s largest ice caps on an adventurous walk over the alien landscape of Solheimajokull Glacier, and bask in the spray of the spectacular Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss falls.
Visit a local art workshop and chat with the artists in a rugged, off the beaten path harbor town.
See the sights that make Iceland’s famous Golden Circle so celebrated, from Gulfoss Waterfall to Strokkur Geysir and Thingvellir National Park.
There are few things more quintessentially Icelandic than soaking in a geothermal pool – experience it for yourself during a visit to the lesser-known Secret Lagoon.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll learn about our Tuuur Foundation partner, SEA LIFE TRUST Beluga Whale Sanctuary in the Westman Islands. Donations help them in their work with rescuing local puffins as well as rehabilitation of these and two rescued beluga whales, which were previously performing in captivity in an aquarium in Shanghai. Tuuur will double the impact by dollar-matching all post-trip donations made to The Tuuur Foundation.
Is this trip right for you?
A remote location and high-performing currency are just two reasons Iceland can be an expensive destination. This affects things like museum entrance fees and outdoor activities but is especially noticeable when eating out. Your leader will be able to advise on ways to get the best value during your visit.
The extremity of the weather makes for incredible scenery, but it also means Iceland can be very cold, especially at the start and at the end of the season and at night. Please bring appropriate clothing such as a down jacket, thermals layers, gloves and suitable footwear.
On the rare occasion that your leader must alter the itinerary due to adverse weather, they will discuss the necessary changes and alternatives with you and offer alternative activites and routes wherever possible.
Itinerary
Find glaciers, geysers and geothermal pools in Iceland’s Golden Circle
Pursue Mother Nature’s most spectacular show on a five-day adventure of Iceland’s southern coast. Experience the highlights of Iceland’s Golden Circle – soaking in the steamy geothermal waters of the Secret Lagoon and marvelling at the eruptions of the Strokkur Geysir, before strapping on the crampons and hiking across the Solheimajokull Glacier, feeling the mist of waterfalls on your face. If you're lucky, you might even experience the midnight sun!

We were very impressed by the whole intrepid experience. They had excellent customers service while planning and once we arrived in Iceland we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our incredible tour guide Stefan was a local, who helped our group seamlessly get along while also guiding us around beautiful Iceland and helping us learn so much. We'd highly recommend this trip.

We experienced incredible beauty of this country. Our tour guide was incredible, itinerary was packed and the weather cooperated. There is so much to see in Iceland and this short trip does offer a light glimpse into what the country has to offer. We were not big fans of food at the farm, we honestly preferred to eat out and pay. Pack variety of clothes and good hiking shoes, you will be hiking a tad towards a few waterfalls (the hikes are not strenuous at all)
