Alaska is big. Travel times between some destinations can be long. You'll be spending a fair amount of time in a van with other travellers, so conditions may feel a little cramped. This allows you to see some stunning scenery and is all part of the adventure - you might even make some long-term friends.

The Alaska trip with Intrepid was a wonderful experience shared with a great group of people. We saw bears, moose, marmot, sea otters, pika and many more animals. We climbed 1000m to the roof of the world to see the Harding Ice Field. We saw the 6000m Mt Denali plastered in snow and the Aurora Borealis. It was a fabulous trip

Incredible trip! Saw some beautiful areas of Alaska including scenic hikes and wildlife. The group camping was such a fun element with everyone participating in set-up/meals with s'mores by the campfire in the evenings. Can't imagine doing this trip on our own, was invaluable to have our leader Alex's guidance keeping us safe and well informed! A must-do if you love hiking and the great outdoors.

If you are on the fence about doing this trip, jump in and do it! The scenery is unparalleled. In this busy rat race life it was so refreshing to be out in the middle of nowhere camping in tents and cooking food together, playing cards and getting away from technology. Be warned though it’s cold and you’ll need a rain coat!

Great trip! I liked that there's a lot of activity diversity on this trip - tent camping under the stars, hiking to epic glaciers, animal sightseeing, kayaking, and cruising around on a ship. We also had an awesome guide in Brad! He kept things well organized, fun and entertaining and is very knowledgeable about Alaskan culture, wildlife and plants.

Great trip hiking the great land of Alaska guide was great as they are on all my intrepid trips. Hiking was challenging, but with a little preparation, not too difficult nice pace. Camping provides such a different experience than staying in lodges with campfires and marshmallows in the evening
