Why you’ll love this trip
See Nevada Falls – one of Yosemite's most beautiful waterfalls, where the Merced River plunges 182 m in a powerful vertical drop that you can hear echo throughout the granite canyon.
Learn about the important work being done by Yosemite Conservancy on an educational guided walk through the historic Ahwahnee village.
Lace up your boots and set off on the Glacieral Point to Sentinel Dome hike – the views from Glacier Point over Yosemite Valley are some of the very best in the park.
Explore Yosemite National Park as you walk through the Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias, passing beneath (and through!) the towering trees.
Hike through the Yosemite National Park with a local leader by your side to do all the navigating for you. See some of the region’s best sites with carefully curated included activities and plenty of free time.
Is this trip right for you?
This Yosemite hiking adventure features moderately difficult trails. You will walk up to 7 miles (11km) roundtrip, with a maximum elevation gain of 1900 ft (975 m). While not expert-level, you should be prepared for a physical challenge and expect to be on your feet for extended periods. Your group will include hikers with varying abilities and your experienced leader will manage the group dynamics and pace accordingly to ensure everyone can participate safely and enjoyably.
Yosemite National Park boasts warm summers but be prepared for colder evenings and possibly rainy days.
On your final day, you’ll reach San Francisco around 3 pm. This night’s accommodation is not included so please plan your departure accordingly, or pre-book a post-trip night.
Itinerary
Embark on a hiking adventure through the landscapes of California’s High Sierra
Follow your feet on this six-day hiking trip that shows off the very best of Yosemite National Park. Giant sequoia trees, beautiful views from the top of Sentinel Dome and thunderous waterfalls of the appropriately named Mist Trail – this adventure covers a lot of ground in a short time. Best of all, you get to experience Yosemite with a bit of comfort, thanks to transportation to and from the trailheads and accommodation close to the park’s entrance. As you hike, learn about the area’s Native American heritage and pioneer past, and about the important work being done to preserve and protect the region.

Important notes
1. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6pm on Day 1 in San Francisco. Please see Joining Point Hotel listed in the Essential Trip Information for this itinerary.
2. You are expected to arrive back into San Francisco around 3pm and dropped off at the same location as the joining point on the final day. There is no accommodation included on the last day in San Francisco, however we can request any additional nights should you need them.
3. A single supplement is available for this trip. The single supplement applies to all nights on your trip and is subject to availability. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.
4. Come prepared with sturdy hiking boots, layered clothing, a daypack and water bottle/hydration system, sunscreen, and a rain jacket, as weather and temperatures can change dramatically with elevation. If you are not an experienced hiker we recommend you build your hiking fitness by walking or hiking regularly for at least 4-6 weeks before your trip, gradually increasing distance and elevation gain.
5. We are not able to book airport shuttle service for North America trips. North America has convenient taxi and rideshare options from all airports, as well as public transport systems in major hub cities. Please check the joining and finishing point instructions listed in the Essential Trip Information.

Overall experience was excellent. One comment is that the hiking is more suitable for under 50s more so than someone who is in their 60s as was in my case as someone with reasonable level of fitness.

Overall an incredible experience. Our guide Chris really made the trip special for all of us. There wasn’t much communication before the trip started, which made me nervous, but it did work out perfectly.

Our family of four had an amazing trip to Yosemite. The hikes were exciting for the teenagers and challenging, but doable for age 50+ parents. The views were breathtaking. Our guide, Chris made the trip super enjoyable, educational and fun.

Brilliant trip! The itinerary is perfect to see and explore Yosemite park and stay in comfortable accommodation. Basic hiking fitness is needed but there are options to go at your own pace or challenge yourself on some incredible hikes to awe inspiring places - out of this world!

Yosemite National Park is awe inspiring. Our guide Justin’s knowledge of the hiking trails and Yosemite made this tour enjoyable. A good mix of hiking and free time. The Yosemite Conservation guided tour added to our experience. Our group enjoyed each other’s company.

A very nice trip, with good accommodation and transport, and a well organised and helpful guide. I wish I had been a lot fitter, but a knee injury prior to the trip made this difficult. Still, even going halfway up the bigger walks was an amazing experience.
