Is this trip right for you?
This is a hiking trip that features a balance of moderate to challenging hikes that highlight the beauty of the Canadian Rockies. Your daily hiking distance ranges from 3.2 km (2 mi) to 11 km (6.6 mi), some with significant elevation gain. Please check the special information within the daily itinerary for exact distances and elevation gain/loss. A good level of fitness and appropriate hiking gear is a must.

Weather, trail conditions, and seasonal snowpack can affect hiking routes in the Canadian Rockies and may require alternative hikes or route changes. Some activities also have flexible operating seasons and may be unavailable in spring, early summer, or fall. If adjustments are needed, your leader will recommend suitable alternatives to ensure the best possible experience.
Mosquitoes are most active during summer months, particularly during wetter seasons and low-lying areas where standing water provides ideal breeding conditions. To protect yourself, use insect repellent (those containing DEET, picaridin or oil of lemon eucalyptus are most effective). Wear long-sleeved, light-coloured clothing, especially during dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active. You may consider treating clothing with permethrin before you travel.
This trip starts on Day 1 as early as 7.30 am and finishes on Day 8 when you arrive in Calgary at around 4 pm. You may wish to pre-book additional nights in Calgary at the start and end of the trip.

A fantastic, well-organised trip through the Canadian Rockies. The hiking, scenery, food and campsites made it a memorable experience. Baptiste was an excellent leader who kept us safe, supported the group and added thoughtful touches throughout the trip. I would highly recommend this Intrepid adventure.

Fantastic trip for hike lovers. The views are spectacular. You'll get to see plenty of lakes and mountains. The hikes are easy to moderate, and Baptiste, our guide, the friendliest guide you could get. Would go again.

You truly can’t beat this trip! The Canadian Rockies are an absolute dream and having all the important details coordinated for you allows for so much fun without the stress. Simon is THE BEST guide (and the best chef) and you can plan to leave as family with your camping group. Can’t speak highly enough about the whole thing - pack a rain jacket and prepare to lay eyes on the most beautiful places.

The hiking was not that aggressive and the scenery and wildlife more than made up for the hiking and camping

8 days was a really good length of time, tent camping and being in nature constantly. Very refreshing and relaxing while also challenging with hikes and activity. We were all solo travelers that came together; the group was sweet and wonderful, we really bonded and enjoyed each other. The Canadian Rockies was the most beautiful place I’ve seen; it’s exactly my cup of tea; tall mountains and trees and beautiful blue lakes. Helps you forget about stressors in life and let go and relax and appreciate nature and the earth; while also being active daily! I’m happiest when I’m active and moving. The hikes were gorgeous though quite a bit of snow and mud. I appreciate the thorough itinerary keeping us busy to see and do as much as possible.
