Trip Informations
Discover the sights, sounds and smells of Andalusian country on this seven-day adventure in Spain’s south. Feast on a variety of region-specific tapas, visit historic hilltop villages and bask in the laidback atmosphere along the Mediterranean coast. Explore some of the best landmarks in Seville and Ronda with your local leader, take a flamenco class in Casa de la Memoria and journey through the Granada Geopark in a 4WD. Whether you’re after a scenic hiking opportunity or some time to sit back and relax with a coffee or glass of wine, Andalusia’s got you covered.
Why you’ll love this trip
Explore the 11th-century Alhambra Palace on a guided tour to discover its fortress towers, palace decor, architectural styles and magnificent gardens.
Take a flamenco class in an establishment in Seville dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage and artistic prowess of this iconic dance.
Treat your taste buds to a local tasting tour in Granada. Try local tapas and traditional dishes like tortilla del sacromonte (omlet) or piononos (syrupy sponge cake).
Set off on a 4WD adventure through the Granada Geopark. With deep ravines and crumbling earth pyramids, you’ll see why the locals call this region ‘the end of the world’.
Relax at La Malagueta Beach or visit historical sites like the Gibralfaro Castle during your free time in Malaga – the second largest city in Andalusia, set on the shores of the Mediterranean.
Is this trip right for you?
We recommend packing light and smart for this trip as you'll be required to carry your own luggage between train and bus stations and hotels, which can include going up and down multiple flights of stairs, and across cobblestones.
The Andalusian landscape is very hilly and mountainous. This trip is a great opportunity to discover remote villages, but some people may find the area's topography very demanding.
Summer temperatures can be extreme in this region (over 40° C). It’s important to use sun protection, wear layers to combat the heat, and drink plenty of water. Please carefully consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season.
