From hiking the Pinnacle Walk to the summit of Hanging Rock, to visiting a local conservation centre in Apollo Bay and learning about Budj Bim with a Gunditijmara guide – this road trip is all about culture, nature and adventure. Covering much of the Great Southern Touring Route, you’ll begin in Melbourne (Naarm) and follow the coast to the 12 Apostles along The Great Ocean Road, discovering the landscapes of the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park before riding the Overland train to Adelaide (Tarntanya).

TRAIN TRAVEL TO ADELAIDE & END OF TRIP

The trip finishes on Day 6 in Adelaide at around 6pm at our finish point hotel. The Overland train journey will be unaccompanied by your tour leader, who will return to Melbourne. Upon arrival at the railway station in Adelaide you will be met by a transfer to take you to our centrally located finishing point hotel in the Adelaide's CBD (please see the finish point instructions in the trip notes for details) which is where the trip will come to an end at around 6pm. No accommodation is included tonight but can booked through us subject to availability. Please speak to your booking agent for more information. Alternatively you can return to Melbourne with the leader. Arrival into Melbourne is in the late afternoon. Please let us know at time of booking which option you have chosen. Accommodation is not included on this day but can be booked on request.
