Just got back from my third Intrepid trip—this time Georgia & Armenia—and honestly, what a wonderful experience. 🤩 What keeps bringing me back to Intrepid is that their trips don’t feel like you’re simply being taken from one tourist site to another. The mix of history, culture, nature, food, local experiences, and free time gives you a real feel for the places you’re visiting. The small-group format also makes such a difference—you actually get to know the people you’re traveling with, and by the end, we felt more like a group of friends than strangers on a tour. And then there was Nino, our group leader. She was such a warm, kind, thoughtful and capable person. She kept everything running smoothly, was always approachable, shared wonderful local insights and recommendations, and somehow managed to look after everyone’s different needs without making it feel like she was “managing” a group. Her energy really set the tone for all of us. I also really appreciate Intrepid’s focus on local experiences and supporting local communities. It makes the journey feel more genuine and meaningful. I came home feeling refreshed, inspired, grateful, and with a camera full of photos and a bunch of wonderful new memories. 😊 After three trips, I can honestly say I’d happily travel with Intrepid again.

What an unforgettable trip! Intrepid took us off the beaten path to experience people, places and things that we never would have imagined. Georgia and Armenia were fantastic! What warm and welcoming cultures, both with complex sets of history and politics. Intrepid put together stunning locations with very knowledgeable local guides. Our leader, Nino, took care of every detail and shared her deep knowledge of culture, history and politics. Put this trip on your bucket list! You’ll be glad you did.

This is an excellent trip to expand your understanding of this region. The trip covers key sites; the sanatorium tour was a real highlight allowing you to hear the history through the buildings. Wine tasting in both countries was excellent! The land border was an experience too! There is nature, history and people. Ani was an excellent guide; calm, authoritative and with just the right amount of assertiveness when needed! NB you stay in lots of fantastic local guest houses so be prepared to carry your bag up/down stairs - no lifts.

This is an excellent tour covering both countries. Pace felt right to cover as much as possible and also appreciate more local ways with choices of hotels and food.

This trip shows you a unique part of the world that is not well known to the west and you will be pleasantly surprised by its people, food, culture and landscapes. You will not be disappointed in this adventure holiday

Be prepared to be awestruck by the beauty of Georgia and Armenia, also by the people, food and sites. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and highly recommend booking a trip asap before too many other people hear about it.
