Why you’ll love this trip
Journey to the Svaneti region – a remote and alluring land of snow-capped mountains. Discover the region’s tower houses dotted in the mountain valleys and visit one of Georgia's UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Ushguli.
Visit Georgia’s former capital, Mtskheta, and listen to the survival and revival stories at Ikorta – an organisation supporting women and youth in the Tserovani Refugee Settlement
Take a guided walking tour of Tbilisi and hear stories of kings, queens, intrigue and mystery from your local leader.
Mingle with the locals in markets, learn the secret of Georgian Cheese and indulge in the national cheese bread of khachapuri.
Relax in the seaside town of Batumi during your free time. Maybe cool off in the musical fountains in the square or take a cable car for panoramic views over the city.
Is this trip right for you?
There are some long travel days, and the roads can be rough in some areas that are away from the main tourist routes. On these long travel days, you’ll depart early in the morning.
The Caucasus region is mountains and the terrain tends to be hilly in most places, even in cities. You'll need to be able to handle your luggage up and down steps confidently.
If you have more time to explore the region, consider checking the combination trip - 'Azerbaijan & Georgia Experience' (trip code: KFSGC) where you'll start in Baku and explore more of Azerbaijan before continuing on this shorter itinerary through Georgia.

Fantastic taster of Georgia: it builds a much greater understanding of the culture and food. The highlight was Ushguli. Wish there was a night stay there. Go see the movie « Dede ». Expect lots of driving due to mountain roads. We had an amazing tour leader, Ani.

It was great getting to explore some of Georgia's cities and countryside with our group and our guide Anton. It is a beautiful country with much to offer in the way of hiking and I hope to come back to do more in future. Be prepared to eat lots of delicious food too!

A very interesting trip that did bring me to places I would not have discovered myself. Well organised with a very good balance of culture, cities and great nature. Similar great food for vegetarians and meat lovers. Good accommodations for this trip category. - The tour leader was exceptional.
