Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
See nature at its finest as you follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin, spotting some of the strangest and most beautiful creatures on Earth in their natural habitats.
Encounter giant Galapagos tortoises, blue-footed and masked boobies, pelicans and frigate birds, as well as land and marine iguanas, sea lions, fur seals and perhaps dolphins, whales and sea turtles.
Swim with the sea lions of the Galapagos – the puppies of the sea, these creatures are naturally friendly and inquisitive.
Hike, snorkel, sail and enjoy plenty of free time to unwind on the deck of your motor yacht, with a beer or wine in hand as you birdwatch.
Island-hop in the most comfortable way aboard the Grand Queen Beatriz – this is unlike other cruises, as this trip is built for small-group adventure!
Is this trip right for you?
This trip involves lots of active adventure, and we ask that you read through the itinerary carefully to ensure that it is right for you. You’ll need to feel comfortable with the included activities and with moving about the boat. The cabins and communal areas of the boat are spread over three decks, and the steps between the decks are steep.
A Zodiac boat (panga) is sometimes necessary to reach small islets, coves, and prime snorkelling spots. You must be comfortable climbing in and out of one during wet and dry landings.
The waters of the Galapagos are generally calm and serene. However, there is always the possibility of choppy water at sea. Steady sea legs (and a sturdy stomach) will be needed when walking around the boat during bad weather. Rain or shine, your trusty crew will always be on hand to assist you.
Please note that while there is an itinerary in place, some changes may occur due to the weather or because of directions from the local authorities. This can happen with little notice, so please be prepared for potential modifications to the route or activities. A sense of humour and flexibility will ensure you have a fun, relaxing trip through this beautiful part of the world, no matter what happens.

Another excellent trip w Intrepid Travel. Galapagos is a must go especially if you are into incredible adventure of the beautiful wildlife that the islands offer. Roberto went far and above as a tour guide. His knowledge is exceptional. My niece and I made friends for life from across the globe as well.

Great tour in the Galapagos. Beautiful scenery and boat / lodging. Overall would recommend to my friends & family. The tour guide Roberto was really helpful, caring and knowledgeable with many years of experience. Never forget rule number 10… never stop smiling. :) Not only do you get to see the islands and their beauty however learned about the impacts of tourism and influence of conservation…. Often a side of traveling that is not talked about.

Seeing the Galapagos by boat made it possible to see so much in a few days and the small group size was great for a solo traveler. I lost count of all the wildlife we saw- it was some of the best snorkeling I’ve ever done for marine life! The boat was comfortable and immaculately clean with surprisingly good WiFi almost the entire time. All of the crew and our guide Karla really made the trip special- I learned so much and just wish I’d had a few more days!

I only wish I had longer in the Galapagos. From start to finish with Intrepid, we had an unbelievable experience. The excursions had a wonderful mix of activity and education regarding the environment. Everyone of the staff went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. The accommodations on the boat were private and beautiful. For anyone who wants to have a trip that is well organized, has all the bells and whistles, most wonderful staff, and the opportunity to learn about one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Galapagos is for you!
