The Nile felucca cruise is an amazing experience, but you'll be sharing a sleeping area with your fellow group members for the night and using a shared bathroom facility on board.
verified
The walkways around ruins can be uneven, dusty and rocky, so be sure to bring sturdy, comfortable walking shoes. At major sites such as the pyramids, you can expect to be exposed to the elements at length, so be prepared with a hat, sunscreen and plenty of fluids.

The temperatures in Egypt can be extreme, from very hot to very cold (it even snows in some places). Be sure to bring a varied wardrobe so you can layer up.

Just completed the trip of a lifetime. Eslam our tour leader was amazing, his insight and knowledge brought everything together perfectly. Seeing the wonders of Egypt and taking it in was a wonderful experience. It honestly felt like a good friend or family member was showing me where he lives.

Exploring Egypt was the best experience ever! I’m 18 and this was my first big trip without parents. It was absolutely amazing to go to the 5 cities we toured, see all the monuments, and learn their history. Not only that but get to know each city by walking to our restaurants at night, and seeing the local life. Being in a tour group was hard at times as there were different traveler personalities, but meeting the ones that work with you made all the struggle worthwhile. I made lifelong friends on this trip.

This is an excellent trip if you really want to get the most out of your Egyptian Holiday, the groups are small yet friendly, the guides are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about both Egypt past and present, and the itinerary truly makes you feel immersed in just about all Egypt has to offer.

Over all the trip was fantastic. The pyramids of Giza and Valley of the Tombs undeniable highlights. The guide had great knowledge. The “rest” days of Nile boat cruise and snorkelling in the Red Sea were wonderful. Tips: take USD to pay for optional actives (you will likely book many) and get a high GB sim card as WiFi is rubbish. I spent an additional £650 (GBP) on activities, food and simple souvenirs (excluding the hot air balloon). I paid for my own which I appreciated but those sharing were very considerate to one another.

I've been on a few group tours with a few local operators, and Intrepid is easily the best. They made it clear that they were would be taking care of each and every one of us. They only work with local guides, born and raised in the country. Sustainability is a very big deal to them. Their itineraries online are very detailed, and they never got impatient with the endless questions I had ahead of the trip. I also liked that they didn't force us to go to shops, and they have a program to match you with a roommate. I will certainly travel with them again.

An outstanding experience from start to finish with so many adventures along the way. If you are looking for a busy, culturally rewarding experience this tour is right for you. Egypt and Jordan are fast paced and exciting, and will challenge you every step of the way. It’s action packed and requires a fairly good level of fitness. If you are looking for comfort and relaxation, skip this trip. The accommodations will be challenging and likely not what you are used to, but a good pair of ear plugs can make a big difference. This tour exceeded my expectations and made me appreciate the cultural and history in a very special way thanks to our outstanding guide Wael.

This trip has been phenomenal, everyday was action packed and I woke up every morning excited to explore Egypt. At no point did I ever feel as if my health or safety would be in danger I felt very safe contrary to how the media portrays it to be. Ahmed was an incredible tour leader and was very entertaining, and made everyone in the tour feel included. I will highly recommend This trip and our tour leader Ahmed
