Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Safari, safari, safari – what East African adventure would be complete without one? On this trip, you’ll embark on multiple safaris within three different areas.
Go in search of hippos, lions, leopards, zebras and more during game drives in the Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and the Masai Mara National Park with your experienced local leader.
Spend the night in a Maasai village to learn about life from community elders, visit a widows’ community and maybe even learn to throw a spear.
Cross the Serengeti in a purpose-built truck for one of those classic East African experiences – think vast plains spotted with thorn trees and herds of animals.
Stop in places like Mto wa Mbu and Musoma for the best opportunities to chat with locals, swap stories and get to know their culture.
Is this trip right for you?
In Loita Hills, you'll be staying in a secure bush camp with basic facilities, hot bucket showers are available in the morning. Wi-fi is not available and only minimal upgrades are on offer at tonight’s bush camp.
Camping in the Serengeti means, well, camping in the Serengeti. No barriers between you and mother nature means there's no fence between you and the animals. We take safety seriously and your leader will brief you in detail on how to set up camp so as to deter animals from entering the camp.
This is an overland trip. That means you’ll be travelling with a group in a purpose-built vehicle, visiting remote communities, setting up your own tent, occasionally roughing it in the bush with no facilities, waking up before sunrise and getting the best possible views of the ‘Big Five’. While the trucks don’t have air conditioning, they do have sliding windows which let in the breeze and make it even easier to take spectacular snaps of the local wildlife. The drive days can be long, but it’s as much about the journey as the destination, and half the fun is the camaraderie. This trip is a great way to see a lot in a short period of time and it can be part of a longer itinerary if you have more time to explore. You might like to check out Real East Africa & Zanzibar.

I had a wonderful safari through east Africa. The crew were highly professional and skilled in their roles. Our guide Laban was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure a smooth and comfortable trip. Our driver Francis was very skilled at navigating the African roads and made our journey very enjoyable. Charles the chef was incredible with the magical meals he created for us during the trip, it was absolutely delicious.

This trip is a once in a lifetime experience! Highly recommend for anyone keen to see amazing landscapes and stunning wildlife. Prepare for lots of time on the truck - although looking out the window never gets boring in Kenya and Tanzania!

A fantastic itinerary for safari, learning about the local community and getting stuck in with camping. Seeing the big 5 on day one was hard to top, but our guides kept finding more amazing sightings throughout the whole trip. We had an incredible time, thanks to our guide Tim-Tim and driver Kim. Special shout out to our cook Antony who was always around to help out with any questions we had, and made the most amazing food!

If I could rewind, then it would be the Serengeti national park. The night was breathtaking as I heard the Roar of the king of the jungle twice to be precise (funny thing pots fell inside the kitchen after each roar), then later grunts of the wildebeest and the laughs of a hyena. I couldn't tell if they were inside our campsite or outside. This is one of my highlights.

A trip of a lifetime. I made friends for life and the crew was incredible. We saw more animals than I could have ever imagined and learnt so much about African culture etc. Our tour guide Dolly went above and beyond, our chef Evy cooked amazing food everyday and catered for all diets. Our driver Charles was amazing in navigating the African roads and got us all to our destinations safely. I have travelled a lot but this trip was by far my favourite trip I’ve ever done.

This trip has far exceeded my highest expectations—from the stunning landscapes to the incredible group dynamic and crew. Africa’s beauty is unmatched, and this experience lets you fully immerse in it. Raymond was exceptional, effortlessly making everyone feel welcomed, safe, and energized. His knowledge and dedication are truly unmatched. Eve’s wonderful cooking, always served with a smile, made every meal special, and Charles was a master behind the wheel, constantly helping in ways that made our trip seamless and enjoyable. This has been a magical, flawless experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better crew or journey.

This trip is life changing. You learn so much about the culture, people, and wildlife of east Africa. The crew is top notch and you cannot beat the price compared to other agencies. Camping is an added layer of fun, especially when in the Serengeti! Highly recommend!!
