Travelling on a felucca is awesome, but it's not for everyone. You will be sharing a sleeping area with your fellow group members for the night and shared bathroom facility on board.
The walk ways around the ruins can be uneven, dusty and rocky, bring comfortable walking shoes. In places like Petra which is a massive sight you can expect to be walking in the elements for most of the day.
Some hotels in Egypt may not have lifts. Please be aware you may need to climb stairs with your luggage to reach your hotel room for the night.
There is a lot of walking around the sights, most with out shade, especially in Petra and Wadi Rum, please bring comfortable shoes and a hat to make the most of your time at the sights.
The weather can be quite extreme, from very hot in summer to cool in winter, please check the weather conditions for when you travel.
Accommodation aboard the overnight train is in two-berth cabins which convert to bunk beds. All bedding is provided on board and western-style toilets are located in each carriage. Keep in mind general train cleanliness may not be to the same standards you are accustomed to.

What a trip! So much packed and you won’t feel like you’re missing anything. Things I wish I had packed that I didn’t: more electrolytes, a personal mosquito net for the felucca, and some more tools for staying cool. It’s an adventure for sure but so many things checked off the bucket list!

Our Intrepid trip to Egypt was amazing! The Pyramids, Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple were stunning. It was so nice to have a leader who gave us in-depth information on these and all the sites in Egypt. The Felucca ride on the Nile was a highlight of the trip. Such a relaxing and fun way to see the Nile. I loved the dinners with local families. These personal cultural experiences are what makes Intrepid trips so special! We were lucky to have an amazing leader - Hady, He was the BEST! He loves his Country and his people and gave us a personal insight into Egyptian Culture. Hady was funny, kind and took care of every detail of our trip. He always made sure every person in our group was having a good time. I highly recommend this trip!

The Egypt-Jordan trip was incredible. It was my first tour group holiday and I was a bit nervous I wouldn't enjoy the group experience. But had a great time, with great people and guides. What we got to see and do was perfect!

Jordan was the highlight of the entire trip. Beautiful country. Very safe, clean and friendly. Local vendors in Jordan left you if you said no or walked away. Egypt was very dirty at every location we visited, police everywhere which had the opposite effect and did not make me feel safe. Local vendors in Egypt harassed you. At times this was very scary since there were always large groups trying to sell you stuff all at the same time. They would not take no and continue to follow you. At times they would step in front of you or put things on you which is very scary when a stranger is that close to you. As a female traveler I felt unwanted there. They want me to spend my money in their country but I felt like I should not be seen or heard.
