Trip Informations
This 15-day adventure through India will take you from the energetic hub of Delhi to the spiritual centre of Kathmandu. Start your journey with the big-ticket sites of the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Old Delhi, then slow down as you move through rural India for a starry night on the bank of the River Ganges. Visit the birthplace of Buddha, enjoy the hospitality of a Thar community homestay, look for the rare Indian rhino at Chitwan National Park and learn recipes from a family in Orchha – this trip is a true look at life in northern South Asia.

verified
Observe the spiritual moments of pilgrims praying and bathing along the ghats of the sacred Ganges River during an unforgettable sunrise cruise in Varanasi – one of India's holiest cities.
verified
Wake to the calls of the jungle on an overnight lodge stay in Chitwan National Park, then embark on a safari in search of rhino, deer, monkeys and a wide array of birdlife.
verified
Spend a memorable night at Amaltari Madhyavarti Homestay, which provides sustainable incomes and encourages local communities to conserve the environment and wildlife around them.
Is this trip right for you?
verified
This trip involves travel on public transport covering long distances and consequently some long days of travel. Long-distance and overnight trains can often be delayed and occasionally cancelled due to heavy fog between December and February. Some patience will go a long way towards your enjoyment here. Sit back, relax and watch the scenery go by – a book or podcast won’t go astray.

We do our best to estimate travel times, but these can often change. That's just how it is in these parts and as a result, there's not as much free or independent time as on some other trips.
verified
Nepal and north India can get surprisingly cold in winter, so please be prepared and pack accordingly. Speaking of the weather, it also has the potential to be very hot, depending on the season. Please make sure you check seasonal weather guides and pick a travel time that suits your comfort level.

We've sourced our accommodation carefully and picked the best possible hotels in line with the Tuuur style of travel. Service and accommodation in India may be different from Western standards.

Trip of a lifetime!! Got to see the main things like Taj Mahal and Agra fort but also beautiful street foods, boating down the Ganges and Chanderi where we seen ancient temples and living spaces with artefacts other people have never seen.
We cycled through little villages and seen a wild Rhino meters away. If you want history, amazing food and adventure this trip is highly recommended

Intrepid has really surprised me. The organisation really makes an impact on its customers and I love how they help out provide in the areas they visit. What an amazing and life-changing experience. Our leader Dinesh deserves all of the credit for this. The man is a true legend! I look forward to more experiences to come in the future!

It’s not for everyone but perfect if you’re up for the challenge of chaotic Delhi and Varanasi.
