Is this trip right for you?
verified
To complete this trip it is important that you are both confident and competent in riding a bicycle.
verified
While the cycling distances are relatively short and the terrain relatively flat, the climate is usually warm, so you'll need to be reasonably fit. Keep in mind the support vehicle will always be on hand if you need a break.
verified
The riding is mostly done on sealed roads, with the occasional gravel cycle path, so there are no special technical skills required. However, some downhill practice is a great idea prior to your trip.
verified
Please note that both cycling and driving distances may vary due to local circumstances out of our control.
verified
There’s the possibility of a few hiccups along the way – a puncture here and there maybe – but there’s no doubt this is an incredibly rewarding adventure.
verified
The weather in this region varies seasonally. Be prepared to get sweaty, and for the occasional rainstorm which may require a change of plans.
Itinerary
Take two wheels across Thailand’s south, a place of ancient jungle, imposing mountains, seductive coasts and incredible marine life.
The road is laid out before you on this cycling adventure through Southern Thailand. Beginning in Bangkok with an overnight train, the route sweeps south to the deeply green prehistoric scenery that lies across the map – stunning ancient forests and limestone peaks that were formed hundreds of millions of years ago. Pass emerald waters where tiny islands of exquisite pale rock break the surface, cruising along palm-fringed routes lined with friendly locals. Pedal along undulating roads to unforgettable Khao Sok National Park, walk along dirt trails in search of wildlife, and freewheel down the Andaman Coast to relax on its powdered coastline. Ride inland to Phang Nga Bay and finish up in the classic beachside town of Ao Nang. This active nine-day journey gives a unique look at this fascinating part of the country.

A party of 5 have thoroughly enjoyed the cycle southern Thailand intrepid trip, whilst it was hot and a little more hilly than I was expecting it was all very doable especially with the plentiful water and snack stops. Would highly recommend this holiday.

the tour started in Bangkok where we cycle 20 km we finished in Krabi there is plenty to do on this trip. I would say that the moderation of the Cycling was satisfactory in the respect of it wasn’t too difficult however this Trip has to cater for other other older people. The trip was very very good. I’d highly recommend it.

Fantastic cycling adventure from start to finish. From the fun experience of navigating around the backstreets of Bangkok to the palm tree lined roads of the South of Thailand. The team leader Keng and support team were fabulous. They looked after us every step of the way.

This trip provides an excellent way of experiencing the South of Thailand, seeing a variety of landscapes and experiencing the local culture. There is a combination of cycling, a little bit of walking and some sightseeing; all supported by a great crew and tour guide, and providing better than expected accommodation. The whole group loved it and I really recommend it.

This was an excellent cycling trip for cyclists and non-cyclists alike. All ages and all abilities were present. Thailand is a fun country to visit, the food is good, the tail end of the journey through the limestone landscapes of southern Thailand are the best part, and the tour staff were a delight to travel with.
I would suggest making sure you are comfortable cycling in heat/humidity, and also staying in Krabi town at the end of the trip, not Au Nang.

Great cycling, an interesting mix of other activities and Thailand is just such a great place to hang out - whilst hot the E-bike option prevented me from overheating
