On this trip we have a single leader that rides with the group, and another that drives the support vehicle (acting as a back marker where needed). Where the vehicle cannot travel directly with the cyclists (e.g. a cyclists-only path) your leader will assign a person from the group to act as a back marker.

To complete this trip, it’s important that you’re both confident and competent in riding a bicycle. As our riding is done mostly on sealed roads with the occasional gravel cycle path there are no technical cycling skills required. Remember we will always have the support vehicle on hand if you need to take a break for an hour or a day.
Itinerary
Cycle your way through the spectacular scenery of Slovenia
It’s beautiful, it’s bite-sized and it’s best explored on a bike – on this active adventure, spend eight days discovering Slovenia on two wheels, from Ljubljana to Piran. Cycle around the famous Lake Bled, wind through the natural beauty of Triglav National Park, take in alpine views from the slopes of Kranjska Gora, follow the emerald waters of the Soca River and explore the biodiverse Postojna Cave. When you’re not busy pedalling, you’ll enjoy picnics, barbecues, coffee stops and winery visits, and see Slovenia’s short but stunning Adriatic coastline. One thing’s for sure – this is going to be a ride to remember!

Cycle Slovenia was an all class biking destination. I was continually impressed by the scenery, bike lanes, food and viewpoints. Vršič Pass was a highlight! And get yourself as much time at Lake Bled.

Slovenia is a gorgeous country that I'm so glad I got to explore by bike! In my opinion, this trip is more of a 4/5 difficulty level than a 3/5, as I am very much an athletic person but am not used to biking long distances (especially with a lot of hard uphill and downhill parts) and felt more comfortable switching to an e-bike and skipping some of the downhill parts, but it was no problem doing so. Both the lead and the driver made sure we were all safe and comfortable the entire time. Can't recommend this trip enough!

Brilliant trip. Slovenia is a country I would thoroughly recommend visiting via a cycling trip organised by Davor. Remote location of some hotels and in-transparency of this prevents a slam dunk rating .

Great trip for the adventure lovers. We got sunshine, rains, uphills, downhills and so much fun with each day being so diverse. The terrain was quite challenging but the overall experience was absolutely worth the ride. The routes were carefully selected to avoid traffic jam, and I would proudly say that Davor and Tommy did and exellent job as the tour guide. They went well beyond their job and provided outstanding support. At one occassion , we were visiting the city of Postonja after the day tour had ended and we got stuck in the restorant due to heavy rain. Without hesitation, Tommy arrived and picked us up, although he was not on the shift . And Davor , we become like close friends and it affected the whole experience, it just made the challenges so much easier and we got a very great group spirit positivity . I have done multiple trips with Intrepred and I would it again for sure but overall, this was the best trip experience I have received. So highly recommend for those who like to challenge themselves.

We booked the Cycle Slovenia trip to fit our itinerary, but discovered a real European gem. It is a bit of everything rolled into one country and so cycle friendly. Our tour leadership team and fellow travelers made it a trip to be remembered.
