Trip Informations
The northern province of Rajasthan is awash with all the colours of India, and the best way to immerse yourself in local life is of course on two wheels. Over 15 days, you’ll explore Delhi’s wonders, wander the streets of Jaipur (the Pink City), cycle to the holy lake of Pushkar where pilgrims cleanse their sins, and the White City of Udaipur, known as the ‘Venice of the East’. Ride through the Chittorgarh countryside, stay in a 16th-century castle, search for tigers in the Ranthambhore National Park, catch some rest in a 400-year-old first and then set your sights on the Taj Mahal in Agra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. With plenty of opportunity to meet locals, sip on chai and feast on the delicious local cuisine – you'll fall even harder for India’s allure.
Why you’ll love this trip
verified
Take the road less travelled and cycle through the rural villages and serene countryside of Rajasthan, passing old settlements, traditional architecture and authentic rural life.
verified
Ride through India’s countryside away from the tourist track, beyond the icons and to landscapes that offer authentic glimpses into the real life of locals.
verified
Tick the Taj Mahal off your bucket list – one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this iconic structure is also one of the most recognisable buildings on earth and is a must-see for any trip to India.
verified
Discover the rich history and wander the amazing architecture of the Amber Fort, just outside of Jaipur, with the expertise of a local guide by your side.
verified
Search for wildlife in the jungle of Ranthambhore National Park – the best place to see wild tigers in Rajasthan. As well as the resident striped beasts, you can also look out for leopards, wild boar, hyenas, nilgai and local birdlife.
Is this trip right for you?

To complete this trip, it’s important that you’re both confident and competent in riding a bicycle.
verified
This trip covers anywhere between 25 to 90 km of cycling each day, so a reasonable level of fitness is required, although you’ll have plenty of rest breaks. A support vehicle will also be with you at all times, so if you get tired you can jump in.
verified
We visit a number of temples on this trip, which requires a certain level of modesty. Please bring clothes that cover the arms and shoulders, with pants/skirts that go past the knee. A light-scarf is also ideal for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.

The landscapes were breathtaking—from honking horns in the cities to vibrant villages. Every kilometre felt like a new story unfolding. Saby and all the team were fantastic, the routes well-planned, and the cultural experiences truly authentic. Challenging at times, but absolutely worth it. Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a unique and immersive way to explore Rajasthan. 2 weddings and hundreds of photos , the people are what make India a very special country

We had a blast cycling in Rajastan, enjoyed so many cultural & historical experiences, the hustle & bustle of the big cities, combined with the joy of cycling in wonderful Indian countryside & hills, and staying in some incredible heritage forts & tranquil lakeside glamping. Highly recommended.

Intrepid provided our cycling group with a marvellous, James Bond cool guide named Manon Singh. Rustam, bike mechanic and the drivers were always in the background performing their tasks professionally and competently. Rustam barely spoke but he was always there with what was needed. I hope that they thrive

Incredible trip of a lifetime to Rajasthan. This included sights on my bucket list and many more. Travelling on the bikes made me appreciate the way of life of local people and I was able to see and visit places I wouldn’t if I travelled in car/coach. Fabulous staff including our guide Madan and bike mechanic Rustam. Memories made that will last a lifetime.

Really loved Rajasthan--definitely one of the best trips I've taken as a cyclist. The cycling was great, and we had the opportunity to interact with so many local folks as we were biking through small villages. And to see the Taj Mahal! Incredible. I really fell in love with India on this trip and am already planning to return somewhere in the near future. Our cycling group was outstanding and lifelong friendships will certainly come from this trip.
