Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
verified
Take the road less travelled and cycle through the rural villages and serene countryside of Rajasthan, passing old settlements, traditional architecture and authentic rural life.
verified
Ride through India’s countryside away from the tourist track, beyond the icons and to landscapes that offer authentic glimpses into the real life of locals.
verified
Tick the Taj Mahal off your bucket list – one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this iconic structure is also one of the most recognisable buildings on earth and is a must-see for any trip to India.
verified
Discover the rich history and wander the amazing architecture of the Amber Fort, just outside of Jaipur, with the expertise of a local guide by your side.
verified
Search for wildlife in the jungle of Ranthambhore National Park – the best place to see wild tigers in Rajasthan. As well as the resident striped beasts, you can also look out for leopards, wild boar, hyenas, nilgai and local birdlife.
Is this trip right for you?
verified
To complete this trip, it’s important that you’re both confident and competent in riding a bicycle.
verified
This trip covers anywhere between 25 to 90 km of cycling each day, so a reasonable level of fitness is required, although you’ll have plenty of rest breaks. A support vehicle will also be with you at all times, so if you get tired you can jump in.
verified
We visit a number of temples on this trip, which requires a certain level of modesty. Please bring clothes that cover the arms and shoulders, with pants/skirts that go past the knee. A light-scarf is also ideal for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.
Itinerary
Cycle through Rajasthan’s cities, villages and serene countryside
The northern province of Rajasthan is awash with all the colours of India, and the best way to immerse yourself in local life is of course on two wheels. Over 15 days, you’ll explore Delhi’s wonders, wander the streets of Jaipur (the Pink City), cycle to the holy lake of Pushkar where pilgrims cleanse their sins, and the White City of Udaipur, known as the ‘Venice of the East’. Ride through the Chittorgarh countryside, stay in a 16th-century castle, search for tigers in the Ranthambhore National Park, catch some rest in a 400-year-old first and then set your sights on the Taj Mahal in Agra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. With plenty of opportunity to meet locals, sip on chai and feast on the delicious local cuisine – you'll fall even harder for India’s allure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Cycle Rajasthan Tour. The cycling was flat and easy but extremely scenic. Riding through local villages and rural areas was a highlight. We did have some very warm days in March so be prepared for up to 40deg.

Great mix of cycling and visiting cultural sites. This was my second trip to India but I got to see so much more than I had before because we went off the beaten track. March was hot but manageable. Finally, Maddy was an exceptional guide and great company.

Excellent trip, a great way to see the contrast of City and rural life. Great varied accommodation, varied activities - it was the holiday that just kept on giving. The cycling is fairly easy, just choose the right time of year to go as the heat can make the conditions difficult. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had an amazing trip, an adventure. It was very well organised and ran; everyone was so friendly and helpful. We saw and did a tremendous range of things, cycling through lovely countryside, visiting famous attractions, staying in heritage properties, watching cultural shows and seeing tigers. It was great fun!

The cycling trip is a fantastic way to see the countryside. The accommodation is so interesting - from forts and castles to glamping. Riding past cows and goats and villages is the best way to see Rajasthan.

This trip exceeded my expectations. Our leader Saby was outstanding. Cycling India can be tricky and I would highly recommend for those with an adventurous spirit, interested in history and can ride a bike. This trip was a highlight of all my travels. Great fun!
