The Otago Rail Trail is a fantastic experience and I couldn’t recommend Intrepid highly enough for the way they make you feel right at home while on holiday and learning about new locations. The perfect trip for those travelling solo or in a group!

After our very enjoyable Intrepid trip to Morocco last year, we were keen to experience a NZ Intrepid cycling trip. Once again it was an amazing experience, mainly because of the inclusiveness of our leader, who used his charm and local knowledge to enhance our experience. In both places our fellow clients had similar values and expectations as ours which added to the occasion

This was an excellent trip with a great variety of weather conditions. We cycled in glorious sunlight one day, snow the next, then rain and finished in the sun again. All well organised.

Otago trail is a great riding adventure.
Weather conditions can be so varied.
Views are amazing , overall not to hard on body if you do alittle training as indicated in the intrepid information.

Highly recommended tour. Absolutely stunning scenery, and our guide, Holly, was brilliant in every way. Curling is an optional activity and was heaps of fun. Mountain bikes were good quality and surprisingly easy to ride despite the wide tyres. Two panniers were included.
