Trip Informations
Desert sands, snow-capped mountains, green valleys, red cliff gorges and seaside paths – you'll explore them all on this 14-day cycling tour through Morocco. Discover a land overflowing with mystery, history and culture, a place where the people welcome you with endless stories and the landscape offers endless diversity. Ride to beaches, deserts, forests, mountains and orchards, from Marrakesh through to Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fes and the High Atlas Mountains. Ride a camel at sunset (the best seat in the house) as the heat of the Sahara cools and discover the ancient city of Ait Benhaddou (the filming location of many movies and TV shows). What’s the best way to see a land of ever-changing landscapes? On two wheels, of course!
Why you’ll love this trip
Cycling allows you to get closer to authentic Morocco, whether you're riding around the backstreets of Marrakech or stopping for tea with nomads in the Mgoun Valley.
Ride a camel through the dramatic red dunes of the Sahara Desert at sunset, then settle into your camp and enjoy a Moroccan feast under the stars.
Pedal through Morocco’s diverse terrain, from the lively medinas and the Mediterranean Coast to the iconic hairpins of the Dades Gorge.
Step back in time to the Middle Ages on a guided walk through the secret shortcuts and twisting alleyways of Fes’ Medina with a local leader who knows all the best spots.
End rewarding days in the saddle with hearty local meals, like the traditional goat dinner in Mgoun Valley and street food delicacies in Djemaa el-Fna.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Tuuur Foundation partner, Education for All. Donations help them support girls in the High Atlas Mountains through secondary school, bringing a generation of women out of the cycle of illiteracy, poverty and early marriage.
Is this trip right for you?

A great way to be an active tourist. A variety of terrain and climate. There is a bit of climbing but it’s not the TDF - there is no sense of being rushed. The last day with its 900 m of climbing into the High Atlas was actually one of my favourites (I’ m a very average cyclist)- blue skies, quiet road with something new around every corner.

Our tour leader Hicham Bouhrazen and assistant Rachid were great ambassadors for Morocco, passionate, open, caring and knowledgeable. Morocco is spectacular with wonderfully varied landscapes: coastlines, snow capped mountains, high plateaus, forests, deep gorges and deserts. The scale and complexity of the Medina of the ancient cities is astounding.

This was my 4th trip to Morocco, thought I had seen it all, but this trip opened my eyes to a different Morocco, lush hills covered in beautiful array of spring flowers, nomadic tribes living in caves, out of this world gorges to rival any country, welcoming people of all classes and of course so tough cycling days, great for any cyclist to get their teeth into. Our leader Hicham and his support team with Rachim at his side open ended our eyes to the people of Morocco, by taking us inside their homes and experiencing a life which seems so hard to us soft Europeans. This not just a tour dedicated to cycling but everything Morocco has to offer. Do it…

Cycle Morocco is the perfect trip for people who like to cycle and who like to see the country in a closer way. We cycled through the Atlas, past small villages, through the desert and green oasises. We did a camel ride at sunset!! Friendly people were greeting us in the villages. Although cycling was a bit challenging at some times it was always worth it! I am 68 quite fit and this trip was perfect for me!

This trip was very enjoyable and rewarding with lots of cultural experiences, great food and of course plenty of exercise. Riding a standard bike requires a high level of fitness. An ebike is the way to go for others or older riders, such as me. The organisation and leadership is first rate.

This cycling tour of Morocco offered an excellent balance of cycling and cultural opportunities. The Moroccan landscape is much more diverse and incredibly beautiful than I had expected. I loved climbing the challenging hills and mountains on my bike. Some others were very glad for E Bikes! Our guide was excellent.
