Trip Informations
Desert sands, snow-capped mountains, green valleys, red cliff gorges and seaside paths – you'll explore them all on this 14-day cycling tour through Morocco. Discover a land overflowing with mystery, history and culture, a place where the people welcome you with endless stories and the landscape offers endless diversity. Ride to beaches, deserts, forests, mountains and orchards, from Marrakesh through to Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fes and the High Atlas Mountains. Ride a camel at sunset (the best seat in the house) as the heat of the Sahara cools and discover the ancient city of Ait Benhaddou (the filming location of many movies and TV shows). What’s the best way to see a land of ever-changing landscapes? On two wheels, of course!
Why you’ll love this trip
Cycling allows you to get closer to authentic Morocco, whether you're riding around the backstreets of Marrakech or stopping for tea with nomads in the Mgoun Valley.
Ride a camel through the dramatic red dunes of the Sahara Desert at sunset, then settle into your camp and enjoy a Moroccan feast under the stars.
Pedal through Morocco’s diverse terrain, from the lively medinas and the Mediterranean Coast to the iconic hairpins of the Dades Gorge.
Step back in time to the Middle Ages on a guided walk through the secret shortcuts and twisting alleyways of Fes’ Medina with a local leader who knows all the best spots.
End rewarding days in the saddle with hearty local meals, like the traditional goat dinner in Mgoun Valley and street food delicacies in Djemaa el-Fna.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Tuuur Foundation partner, Education for All. Donations help them support girls in the High Atlas Mountains through secondary school, bringing a generation of women out of the cycle of illiteracy, poverty and early marriage.
Is this trip right for you?

2. A single supplement is available if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement applies to all nights of your trip apart from overnight train (1 night), desert camp (1 night), and gite (1 night), and is subject to availability. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.
3. Bicycle hire is included in your trip price. Please advise your height at time of booking that we can ensure a suitable sized bike is arranged.
4. An e-bike option (at additional cost) may be available on this trip. We have limited numbers of these bikes available and they are an 'on request' basis only. A request does not guarantee an e-bike, only a confirmed booking. Please ask your agent for more details at the time of booking.

This trip was a wonderful adventure in terms of sport, people and sightseeing. A perfect balance between sporting and cultural activities, breathtaking scenery, and a remarkable support team made this trip truly exceptional. A special mention goes to our excellent guide, Hicham, who looked after the group with the utmost professionalism.A huge thank you to the whole team: drivers Issam and Mohamed, and guides Rachid and Hicham, for their helpfulness, their kindness and all the attention they gave us, ensuring at all times that we had everything we needed. To finish, As the only French speaker on the trip and not fluent in English, I would add that I was particularly touched by Hicham's thoughtfulness; he always took the time to translate what he said into French whenever necessary.

This was our first Intrepid trip & we were impressed with our cycling equipment, our excellent guide Abdel & wonderful support staff. Despite the generally considerate Moroccan drivers, I did have an accident but Intrepid were excellent in getting good medical help and getting us safely home. We’ll definitely book with Intrepid again.

We did a 2 week bike cycling trip in Morocco in April. The trip was a balance of exercise and cultural activities. The bus was comfortable & well maintained. We were glad we had hired electric bikes and suggest that a rating of 5 be given for non electric bikes and a rating of 3 for electric.

This trip was very enjoyable and rewarding with lots of cultural experiences, great food and of course plenty of exercise. Riding a standard bike requires a high level of fitness. An ebike is the way to go for others or older riders, such as me. The organisation and leadership is first rate.

Cycling Morocco is an excellent way of traveling through the different landscapes of Morocco (ocean, green rif mountains, gorges, sahara, high/middle atlas mountains), combined by getting some impressions of some cities (with souks and kasbahs)

Great trip and great way to discover Morocco. Maybe a little more bus time than I like but its a big country! Rides were great and a good sampling of the terrain Morocco has to offer. I would strongly recommend this trip. There are some fairly big climbs, some be realistic about your Fitness.

The Cycle Morocco trip was an adventure of a lifetime. The rides were all challenging and covered every terrain one could imagine riding on (and some that I couldn't, prior to this trip). The food was delicious and nourishing. Every detail was well planned and supported.

The trip exceeded my expectations. It was varied, challenging, interesting, and well-balanced. To fully enjoy the bike rides, it’s important to be in good physical shape. The guidance provided by Youssef was excellent and made the experience even more enjoyable.
