Trip Informations
Desert sands, snow-capped mountains, green valleys, red cliff gorges and seaside paths – you'll explore them all on this 14-day cycling tour through Morocco. Discover a land overflowing with mystery, history and culture, a place where the people welcome you with endless stories and the landscape offers endless diversity. Ride to beaches, deserts, forests, mountains and orchards, from Marrakesh through to Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fes and the High Atlas Mountains. Ride a camel at sunset (the best seat in the house) as the heat of the Sahara cools and discover the ancient city of Ait Benhaddou (the filming location of many movies and TV shows). What’s the best way to see a land of ever-changing landscapes? On two wheels, of course!
Why you’ll love this trip
Cycling allows you to get closer to authentic Morocco, whether you're riding around the backstreets of Marrakech or stopping for tea with nomads in the Mgoun Valley.
Ride a camel through the dramatic red dunes of the Sahara Desert at sunset, then settle into your camp and enjoy a Moroccan feast under the stars.
Pedal through Morocco’s diverse terrain, from the lively medinas and the Mediterranean Coast to the iconic hairpins of the Dades Gorge.
Step back in time to the Middle Ages on a guided walk through the secret shortcuts and twisting alleyways of Fes’ Medina with a local leader who knows all the best spots.
End rewarding days in the saddle with hearty local meals, like the traditional goat dinner in Mgoun Valley and street food delicacies in Djemaa el-Fna.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Tuuur Foundation partner, Education for All. Donations help them support girls in the High Atlas Mountains through secondary school, bringing a generation of women out of the cycle of illiteracy, poverty and early marriage.

Expect long days of cycling with many rolling hills and 2-3 days of big climbs. Bring your own preferred gels, energy bars and electrolytes. Train hard for hill climbing. Great way to explore towns and meet locals

We thoroughly enjoyed our cycling trip to Morocco. The ride was challenging due to the hot conditions (we chose to travel in June!). Be prepared for some challenging climbs - the 4/5 physical rating is correct. Our guide, Hicham Bouhrazen, made the trip extra special. His kindess, humour and knowledge made our Morocco experience unforgettable. Our support crew, Rashid, Hassan and Mohamed were exceptional and kept us safe, hydrated and in high spirits throughout the entire trip. Thank you Hicham and crew for everything!

Thoroughly enjoyed this bike ride around Morocco with a great group of people. Intrepid got everything right and we stayed at a variety of accommodation with the stays just getting better and better. Our guides were fantastic and I have great respect for Morocco and its people now. This trip has definitely made me want to do more Intrepid trips!

Choosing Morocco for my 70th birthday celebration was a very wise move, however, choosing to cycle with Intrepid was perfect. Seeing a country on a well organised cycling adventure gives a much better feel of the culture, the people. The route chosen by Intrepid took us through a variety of landscapes, including cities, Medinas, coastlines and the mountains. Meeting locals along the way, stopping to take pictures and drink in the atmosphere was truly special. Thanks Intrepid and the team on the ground

This is a great trip through Morocco. The cycling is challenging, as there are big elevation gains; but boy, what a wonderful way to experience all that is unique about Morocco. There is no way our level of enjoyment and sense of achiement could have been improved.
