Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Cycling allows you to get closer to authentic Morocco, whether you're riding around the backstreets of Marrakech or stopping for tea with nomads in the Mgoun Valley.
Ride a camel through the dramatic red dunes of the Sahara Desert at sunset, then settle into your camp and enjoy a Moroccan feast under the stars.
Pedal through Morocco’s diverse terrain, from the lively medinas and the Mediterranean Coast to the iconic hairpins of the Dades Gorge.
Step back in time to the Middle Ages on a guided walk through the secret shortcuts and twisting alleyways of Fes’ Medina with a local leader who knows all the best spots.
End rewarding days in the saddle with hearty local meals, like the traditional goat dinner in Mgoun Valley and street food delicacies in Djemaa el-Fna.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Tuuur Foundation partner, Education for All. Donations help them support girls in the High Atlas Mountains through secondary school, bringing a generation of women out of the cycle of illiteracy, poverty and early marriage.
Is this trip right for you?

Important notes
1. It is very important that you provide your height at time of booking so we can ensure that you have the appropriate sized bicycle when your trip starts. If you do not provide your height ahead of arrival we cannot guarantee a suitably sized bike for you.
2. A single supplement is available if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement applies to all nights of your trip apart from overnight train (1 night), desert camp (1 night), and gite (1 night), and is subject to availability. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.
3. Bicycle hire is included in your trip price. Please advise your height at time of booking that we can ensure a suitable sized bike is arranged.
4. An e-bike option (at additional cost) may be available on this trip. We have limited numbers of these bikes available and they are an 'on request' basis only. A request does not guarantee an e-bike, only a confirmed booking. Please ask your agent for more details at the time of booking.
5. Bike helmets are compulsory on this trip. We are unable to hire bike helmets locally so please ensure you bring your own bike helmet from home.
6. Morocco gets very warm in summer (June, July, August) so our leader may opt to shorten or reroute rides to ensure travelers' health and safety is not compromised.
7. There's an overnight train on Day 2 of the trip. The train has four-berth couchette compartments with upper and lower bunks on each side, so you may be sharing a confined space with people outside of your travel group. this train is occasionally cancelled at very late notice, meaning we take a minivan instead.

We had a great holiday. Hicham, our guide, communicated his passion for his country in excellent English, was very knowledgeable and did everything possible to make our trip go well.

I would totally recommend Cycle Morocco to anyone. I am a solo traveller and this was a great way to see Morocco and to see the various landscapes from the coast to the Atlas Mountains, as well as all the cultural activities available. I would recommend that you train and get cycle fit so that you enjoy it better. We got cold and sleet on the trip some days (Dec 2024), so ensure you bring lots of winter clothing like hat, gloves and rain gear.

In the dead of winter, this is a survival trip. You will get on the bike in freezing temperatures. You will finish in cold temperatures, eat in cold hotels, take freezing showers and sleep in stunningly cold rooms for a week straight. The cycling excursions are long and challenging.

A fantastic trip in every way. Each day was different to the last. Morocco surprised me, it was so varied, lovely people as well. The Atlas Mountains are amazing and the views, sunsets and star gazing are just brilliant. Our guide Mohamed was the best, well organised, safety aware, full of enthusiasm for Morocco and generally a really nice guy. It was quite cold at times and the cycling can be challenging but fairly reflected in the itinerary. Best bits...Fez Medina, off-road cycle day and desert camping activities.

This was our first experience on a group guided holiday, and it was a major success for us. I would highly recommend this trip. Some of the cycling is quite challenging, but the scenery is stunning and helps you get through the tougher parts. For 2 weeks it was a superb way to see and experience diverse parts of Morocco. All helped by a fabulous support crew. Thank you to Abdo, Youssef, Mohammed and Alli.

This tour was worth its weight in gold. I have recommended it to friends who love to cycle, travel to an exotic destination and who enjoy meeting others. The guides were so kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Morocco bike trip. We never expected the breadth and beauty of the landscapes in Morocco. The trip was a nice balance between some challenging but stunning rides along with well planned cultural activities. The Moroccan people are very welcoming. The trip was extremely well executed from pre-trip booking to the logistics on the ground with local support staff. If you are thinking about taking this trip - we only have one thing to say - Just do it.

This was our first Intrepid trip and it exceeded expectations. Our guide, Moha, was exceptional, as were the cultural experiences during the trip, such as tea with the Nomads in their cave. The cycling routes were well-designed on quiet scenic roads.
