Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
verified
Board a traditional vessel and sail up along the spectacular Neretva River, inland from Opuzen.
verified
Discover Krka National Park, where you’ll get to see stunning waterfalls and secluded pools.
verified
While large cruise liners have to moor out at sea and commute into shore via tender, you'll drop anchor in the middle of port towns like Hvar or Korcula. You can hop on or off the boat as you please.
verified
Dive into the aquamarine waters of the Dalmatian Coast. Weather permitting, our captain will be stopping the ship for regular swim breaks during the trip.
verified
Take a detour to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is not a stop featured on many Croatian coastal tours! You’ll see the town’s iconic bridge and have the chance to watch a coffee demonstration.
verified
By travelling on this trip, you’ll learn about our Tuuur Foundation partner, Humana Zagreb. Donations help provide job opportunities and education programs in sustainable fashion and textiles for people with disabilities. Tuuur will double the impact by dollar-matching all post-trip donations made to The Tuuur Foundation.
Is this trip right for you?
verified
This is a small ship adventure cruise, which means you’ll be sailing on a yacht with up to 35 other people. The boat is spacious and comfortable, but it focuses more on the destination than on-board activities. Instead of a pool, we have the sea itself. Instead of a casino, we’ve got board games and a good book. There’s also no formal dress code to worry about. Wi-Fi is available onboard.
verified
Our ship moves under engine power, rather than sailing, so all cabins will experience light engine noise when the ship is moving (and occasionally when we drop anchor). It’s probably worth packing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
verified
Unlike other ships that cruise through the night, we’ll spend our evenings docked at port. This will give you more time to dine ashore and enjoy those balmy Croatian evenings. Cruising will mostly take place during the day.
verified
Onshore activities and excursions will involve a bit of walking. You’ll be visiting ancient sites and historical places, and at times you may have to cross cobbled streets and uneven ground, sometimes in hot conditions. If you have any concerns, please speak to your group leader before taking part.
verified
If you’re concerned about seasickness, there are seasickness tablets on-board. The ship will experience some roll and pitch in choppy conditions, however all of our ships come equipped with stabilisers to minimise movement. Most of our departures run in peak season, when the seas are calmer. Your crew will do all they can to minimise any discomfort.
verified
There are no lifts (elevators) on-board our ships, so you’ll have to navigate a few steep flights of stairs. Handrails are always available.

If Croatia is on your go there list, this is the trip for you. From the cobblestone streets of Korčula that echo with klapa music, to the lavender-infused countryside of Hvar, and the heart-wrenchingly beautiful town of Mostar, Intrepid’s Coastal Croatian Cruise delivers the best of the Dalmatian Coast.

Croatian Cruising gives a snapshot of island life and history on the Adriatic
Coast and inland regions. Join for fun times swimming off the boat, great food, island excursions and a chance to learn about Croatia's history and culture. Local guides complement the care taken by excellent onboard guides and crew.

A fantastic small group cruise, with the best guides. We stayed away from the crowds, plenty of time on board to relax, including swimming/paddle boarding, and our shore excursions were varied and interesting. They brought us in contact with locals, either as local town guides, or to show us their own small businesses. We left knowing that we were appreciated and that we were helping the local economy, not just looking. There is a sense of really getting to know the places and people we visited, the history, culture, and current struggles and achievements. I recommend this trip, and thank Intrepid for their travel philosophy, and for providing such brilliant guides.

From the first to the last night, this trip was outstanding. The crew and leaders were fantastic. Swim stops, informative site tours and walk abouts, with a perfect amount of free time. We got experience things that the big boats couldn’t. Finally, our fellow passengers were all so nice!

As a first time group tour experience this was fantastic! We've always been disdainful of "boxed" travel but this was awesome. The leaders were wonderful, fellow travelers were varied and interesting - some first timers and some on their 6th or 7th tour, all enjoying every minute. We'll be back!

Ziggy and Dinko are wonderful - knowledgeable, friendly and well-organized; they really made it special. The boat Aurora is really comfortable and spacious, and the swim stops were amazing! Highly recommend this trip, a mix of relaxing and invigorating.

Petar & Pavle were truly amazing at their job, professional, caring and kind. They provided wonderful presentations, excellent speakers, very knowledgeable about history, culture and sustainability. They were also a lot of fun, playful humor, and a joy to be around. The rest of the staff was also kind and lovely. We truly appreciated how they made sure everyone was cared for, with their individual and collective needs.
