Trip Informations
Navigate the gorgeous coastline of Croatia in both style and comfort on this small-ship adventure cruise from Split to Dubrovnik. Soak up the sun, sea and salty sea breeze as you sail through the azure waters of the Adriatic, experiencing impressive islands, meandering rivers, stunning beaches and historic towns. Begin by exploring the ancient city of Split and walking through colourful Brac, before setting sail southbound. Drop an anchor in Hvar and indulge in the glitz and glamour of this chic island, venture up the River Neretva and discover the beautiful town of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, wander through the romantic old town of Korcula and enjoy tastings at a local winery, then dock in the stunning walled city of Dubrovnik. Combine a healthy dose of cuisine and culture with a beautifully designed ship, and you have the perfect way to explore the Croatian coast.
Why you’ll love this trip
Tick another country off your bucket list as you sail up the spectacular Neretva River in a traditional wooden boat to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Taste some local olive oil at the local museum in Brac – the longest island in central Dalmatia – before exploring this gorgeous island at your own pace.
Explore the beautiful town of Mostar – check out the town’s iconic bridge and see how traditional Bosnian coffee is made followed by a sample of this delicious brew.
Spend more time exploring the beautiful Croatian coast and less time on the ship with plenty of port stops and offshore activities.
Drop anchor in the middle of port towns like Hvar or Korcula and explore straight off the boat – one of the many benefits of small-ship cruising.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll learn about our Tuuur Foundation partner, Humana Zagreb. Donations help provide job opportunities and education programs in sustainable fashion and textiles for people with disabilities. Tuuur will double the impact by dollar-matching all post-trip donations made to The Tuuur Foundation.
Is this trip right for you?
This is a small ship adventure cruise, which means you’ll be sailing on a yacht with up to 35 other people. The boat is spacious and comfortable, but it focuses more on the destination than on-board activities. Instead of a pool, we have the sea itself. Instead of a casino, we’ve got board games and a good book. There’s also no formal dress code to worry about. Wi-Fi is available onboard.
Our ship moves under engine power, rather than sailing, so all cabins will experience light engine noise when the ship is moving (and occasionally when we drop anchor). It’s probably worth packing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
Unlike other ships that cruise through the night, we’ll spend our evenings docked at port. This will give you more time to dine ashore and enjoy those balmy Croatian evenings. Cruising will mostly take place during the day.
Onshore activities and excursions will involve a bit of walking. You’ll be visiting ancient sites and historical places, and at times you may have to cross cobbled streets and uneven ground, sometimes in hot conditions. If you have any concerns, please speak to your group leader before taking part.
If you’re concerned about seasickness, there are seasickness tablets on-board. The ship will experience some roll and pitch in choppy conditions, however all of our ships come equipped with stabilisers to minimise movement. Most of our departures run in peak season, when the seas are calmer. Your crew will do all they can to minimise any discomfort.
There are no lifts (elevators) on-board our ships, so you’ll have to navigate a few steep flights of stairs. Handrails are always available.

This is a great trip! Perfect balance between touring the different islands/towns which were all beautiful and the relaxing swim stops from the boat in the clear blue Adriatic Sea.Our leaders Dinko and Ziggy were the best to learn about Croatian culture and history being proud Croatians themselves;their friendly welcoming attitudes really brought our group together. Also gave us insider tips on restaurants and activities for our free time.Highly recommend this trip.(side note:ITS HOT)

This was a great trip with a more relaxed vibe than I would expect for cruise. The swim stops and included activities definitely kept us busy but there was still plenty of time for book reading. The leaders, crew and all on board services really made for an excellent holiday.

This trip showed the best of Dalmatian coast. Our leaders showed us how they love their country and can’t help but fall in love with Croatia too. The boat crew likewise showed the best of Croatia: good food, nice swim stops and safe voyage at all times. The strangers I met on the trip eventually became friends. Intrepid is the really the best way to travel. Thanks Dinko and Ziggy, m/s aurora crew and the people I traveled with.

We thoroughly enjoyed this very relaxing trip down the Dalmatian coast. It was a perfect blend of sea swimming, sun, good food and company, with some gentle but interesting excursions. The coastline is beautiful and the places we stopped were charming and not too busy. The whole experience felt quite exclusive. The crew were amazing and all the ships manoeuvres appeared seamless.

This is the best way to experience Croatia! Cruising from Split to Dubrovnik, with a side trip into Bosnia-Herzegovina, Intrepid ensured we really got to know Croatia its highlights, its hidden gems and its history. The tour leaders are outstanding and the rhythm the itinerary provided for exploration, entertainment and enjoyment. The daily swim stops in the crystal clear Adriatic were pretty special too!
