Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Sail up the spectacular Neretva River in a traditional wooden boat to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Taste some local olive oil at the local museum in Brac – the longest island in central Dalmatia – before exploring this gorgeous island at your own pace.
Explore the beautiful town of Mostar – check out the town’s iconic bridge and see how traditional Bosnian coffee is made followed by a sample of this delicious brew.
Spend more time exploring the beautiful Croatian coast and less time on the boat with plenty of port stops and offshore activities.
Drop anchor in the middle of port towns like Hvar or Korcula and explore straight off the boat – one of the many benefits of small-ship cruising.
Is this trip right for you?
This is a small-ship adventure cruise, which means you’ll be sailing on a motor yacht with up to 35 other people. The boat is spacious and comfortable, but it focuses more on the destination than on-board activities. Instead of a pool, we have the sea itself and you’ll stop for swim stops most days. There’s also no formal dress code to worry about. Wi-fi is available onboard.
Our boat moves under engine power rather than sailing, so all cabins will experience light engine noise when the boat is moving (and occasionally when we drop anchor). If you’re a light sleeper, it’s probably worth packing earplugs.
Unlike other ships that cruise through the night, we’ll spend our evenings docked at port. This will give you more time to dine ashore and enjoy those balmy Croatian evenings. Cruising will mostly take place during the day.
Onshore activities and excursions will involve a bit of walking. You’ll be visiting ancient sites and historical places, and at times you may have to cross cobbled streets and uneven ground, sometimes in hot conditions. If you have any concerns, please speak to your group leader before taking part.
If you’re sensitive to seasickness, talk to your doctor before the trip about medication – however, this yacht sails close to the coastline of Croatia in often sheltered areas, so choppy water is uncommon.
There are no lifts (elevators) on-board our boat, so you’ll have to navigate a few steep flights of stairs. Handrails are always available.

A truly incredible trip! Our tour leader was a local who had such a clear passion for showing others what makes his country special. We went places no other cruise will take you and got to experience the welcoming and warm local people, food and culture at every stop. Everyone should do this trip at least once in their life.

The cruise by Intrepid we went on starting in Croatia was by far the most interesting and enjoyable organised trip we have ever been on, and would not hesitate to recommend Intrepid to anyone thinking of going on holiday and seeing destinations not seen by the “ run of the mill cruise companies “

This is the third Intrepid tour we have enjoyed and they never cease to amaze. This last small boat cruise was one of the best experiences we have ever enjoyed. Very professionally run, super friendly and knowledgeable making our holiday truly memorable. I can’t recommend Intrepid highly enough.

The Croatia Coastal Cruising trip is one of the best tours I’ve ever done. The boat is gorgeous, the islands we visited are historically interesting and stunningly beautiful, but it was the tour leader, Dinko, who brought it all together beautifully. Book this trip - you won’t regret it.

We had a fantastic Croatian cruise with Intrepid. It contained a good mix of cultural and historical information but also had pleanty of time for relaxtion, recreation and socialising with our fellow travellers. The ship, it's accomodation and it's crew were amazing, great fun and showed us some amazing locations and scenery. Our tour guides Flutra and Dina were sensational hosts with great cultural, historical and local knowledge. We had so much fun with our Tour guides, crew and fellow guests. We very much recommend this tour of Croatia to anyone looking to relax, experience some great recreation and tours as well as meeting some lovely new people.

This tour was one of the best vacations I have ever been on (and I’ve been on many). Being able to swim in the Adriatic almost every day was amazing. Ziggy is an incredible leader.
