Lunar New Year is an annual festival that runs for several days. This is a fascinating and rewarding time to see the country, however you do need to be prepared for some businesses to be closed, tourist sites to be very busy and for transport to be packed as many locals are travelling around the country. Please consider this when selecting your travel dates. You’ll find dates and further information in the ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section of the Essential Trip Information.

We had a wonderful experience on the Cultural Vietnam tour. I was sceptical of joining a group but now I’m sold! Our leader was the most enthusiastic, knowledgeable and considerate person imaginable and made the trip so memorable. A great mix of history, culture and beautiful surroundings. Great food throughout.

An incredible trip made truly special by our guide, Leo (Huong) who was knowledgeable, caring and invested in the group. The unique local experiences were an absolute highlight. Some accommodation and transport were basic, but overall it was an unforgettable experience that gave me a genuine appreciation for Vietnam and its culture.

We have had the most incredible time in Vietnam. We met real local people who welcomed us into their homes, have seen lively cities and quiet waterways, stunning pagodas and simple rice fields, rivers and mountains and beaches and everything in between. Truly memorable
