This trip includes time spent travelling in a private vehicle with your group. Extra space can be tight, and conditions may feel a little cramped. It's all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. There are a few long days of travel, as you'll be covering a lot of ground. You will, however, make stops at interesting locations to break up the longer drives. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.

As a desert country, Morocco can have extreme weather. Please consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season. Refer to the Climate and Seasonal Information section of the Essential Trip Information for more details.
verified
Morocco has a tipping culture and travellers are expected to tip small amounts for most services. Your trip leader and the Money Matters section of the Essential Trip Information can assist you with this.
verified
Although you shouldn’t expect any aggressive selling techniques in Morocco, it’s common to be approached by shop owners and street vendors offering their goods.

We've sourced our accommodation very carefully and picked the best possible hotels in line with the Tuuur style of travel, but please note that service and accommodation in Morocco may differ from standards at home.

Ramadan is an annual month-long festival, during which travel can be a rewarding cultural experience, however some regular services may not be available during the day, such as restaurants or cafes, and occasionally travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider this when selecting your travel dates. You’ll find dates and further information in the ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section of the Essential Trip Information.

This was our first Intrepid tour and it certainly won’t be the last. Travelling as a family of 3 (incl 18 yo son) and normally steering clear of organised tour groups, we thought Morocco might be the perfect locale to give Intrepid a go. Having just completed the 8 day Classic Moroccan Tour, we were not disappointed and are completely sold - small groups, small footprint with knowledgeable, local guides who open doors and experiences you would never have access to otherwise, esp in that timeframe. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Our Intrepid tour of Morocco was a complete success. The structure, timings, efficiency and professionalism were exemplary. The sights and experiences of Morocco were fascinating and exciting. A significant amount of extra enjoyment was experienced due to the superb tour leader and driver.

The trip exceeded all expectations. Morocco is a such a beautiful country with so much variety. I think the trip does a good job of covering all that in a short amount of time. The trip leader Allal took care of everything so well, I barely had to think. Allal and other tour guides though out trip were so knowledgeable, I learned a lot. I love the initiatives from intrepid for responsible tourism throughout this trip.

A fantastic trip that was well organised & covered the key cities of Morocco. Our guide, Hicham Bouhrazen, was brilliant & well organised - he accommodated our groups requests & was incredibly knowledgable of the history of Morocco. Highly recommend.
