This trip includes time spent travelling in a private vehicle with your group. Extra space can be tight, and conditions may feel a little cramped. It's all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. There are a few long days of travel, as you'll be covering a lot of ground. You will, however, make stops at interesting locations to break up the longer drives. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.

As a desert country, Morocco can have extreme weather. Please consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season. Refer to the Climate and Seasonal Information section of the Essential Trip Information for more details.
verified
Morocco has a tipping culture and travellers are expected to tip small amounts for most services. Your trip leader and the Money Matters section of the Essential Trip Information can assist you with this.

Although you shouldn’t expect any aggressive selling techniques in Morocco, it’s common to be approached by shop owners and street vendors offering their goods.

We've sourced our accommodation very carefully and picked the best possible hotels in line with the Tuuur style of travel, but please note that service and accommodation in Morocco may differ from standards at home.

Ramadan is an annual month-long festival, during which travel can be a rewarding cultural experience, however some regular services may not be available during the day, such as restaurants or cafes, and occasionally travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider this when selecting your travel dates. You’ll find dates and further information in the ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section of the Essential Trip Information.

We had an amazing Moroccan experience with Intrepid. Our tour leader Hassan was awesome, knowledgeable and keep us entertained. Our driver was skilled on the road getting us safely to the next town in a comfortable new mini van. The riads were stunning. Just do it!

Loved this trip and highly recommend! Great value for money, fast paced, and packed full of food and culture. Some long drives in a comfortable minibus, but plenty of exploring on foot too. I would recommend adding on the walking tour in Casablanca, the cooking class in Marrakech, and a few extra days in Marrakech for free time after the trip has finished. We had a mix of good accommodation, basic (but clean) hotels, a beautiful Riad, and more western style hotels. If you have specific dietary requirements, I would recommend taking some extra snacks/breakfasts, however the larger supermarkets in cities have “free from” sections.

Hassan did an amazing job on this whirlwind tour of Morocco. We saw so many amazing sights throughout the country particularly the incredibly old communities where people still reside and the fabulous Sahara Desert camp. Hassan found a way to make the long car rides fun and kept us engaged in the local culture and how different people live in Morocco today. If you only have a week, this tour covers a lot but keeps it manageable. I fell in love with Fes and will be dreaming of desert sunrises for many months to come.

Wonderful experience with our tour guide Hicham Bouhrazen and driver Khalid Kaffou. Saw and learned a lot about Morocco. The trip was well planned, took us to various parts of Morocco and we experienced amazing colors/sights and sounds/smells. It was an environmentally/culturally/socially responsible trip and definitely made us want to visit Morocco again!

The Classic Morocco trip is a fantastic way to see the highlights of Morocco in about a week. You get to see the major cities and even spend a night on the edge of the largest desert on earth, the Sahara. Plus you get to make inspiring connections with your guide, tour mates, and many other people you meet along the way.

If you are considering this trip, book it today! I have traveled solo around the world, but wanted a guide to experience Morocco in the best possible way. I had just that! Our group clicked from the get go, so it made the trip even more memorable.
Our guide, Said, was such a knowledgeable and friendly individual that it made the trip exceptional. Each and every local guide made the city/place we visited so special as if you were really part of this amazing country.
