This trip includes time spent travelling in a private vehicle with your group. Extra space can be tight, and conditions may feel a little cramped. It's all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. There are a few long days of travel, as you'll be covering a lot of ground. You will, however, make stops at interesting locations to break up the longer drives. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.

Ramadan is an annual month-long festival, during which travel can be a rewarding cultural experience, however some regular services may not be available during the day, such as restaurants or cafes, and occasionally travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider this when selecting your travel dates. You’ll find dates and further information in the ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section of the Essential Trip Information.

I had an incredible week on Intrepid’s Classic Morocco tour, made truly unforgettable thanks to our guide, Aatmane Berrad. He combined deep knowledge of Morocco’s history, culture, and traditions with flawless organization and a warm, engaging style that brought our group together. Every detail — from logistics to local insights — was handled seamlessly, and his humor and care made us feel safe, welcomed, and immersed in the country. Aatmane turned a great itinerary into a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I had the pleasure of going on this trip for my birthday solo and it was the best decision I could have made. Our guide Youssef and driver Mohammed were absolutely phenomenal and made the trip safe and enjoyable. The accommodations were good and the groups are small so you get to know one another. The camel ride through the Sahara is an experience of a lifetime. Would strongly recommend this trip!

To see so much of Morocco in only 8 days is astonishing. So much culture, it leaves a lasting imprint even weeks later. Even with the 9 hour day trip to the Sahara is worth it. The first hand craftsmanship is a wonder to witness - though make sure to barter - you’ll learn this. Morocco is a beautiful country - you won’t regret this nor the places you stay! also, tip - brush your teeth with bottled water.

I was looking for a trip to do with my son and thought that an intrepid tour was just the thing. We chose Classic Morocco as it was off the beaten track and we really enjoyed it. Great organisation, great people, great itinerary and lots of fun.
