The stories and history shared at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek are confronting and many travellers will find them upsetting. This is an important part of Cambodia’s recent history that we feel is important for travellers to know. If you would prefer not to join these activities your leader can recommend some optional alternatives. Some further information on visiting the Killing Fields of Choeung Ekcan be found here: https://www.tuuur.com/adventures/importance-visiting-cambodia-killing-fields/ https://www.tuuur.com/adventures/importance-visiting-cambodia-killing-fields/ (https://www.tuuur.com/adventures/importance-visiting-cambodia-killing-fields/)

You will visit several temples on this trip, and this requires a level of modesty. Be sure to bring clothes that cover the arms and pants or skirts that go past the knees. A light scarf is also a good idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.

This was our first time using Intrepid Travel. We loved every second of it from our amazing tour guide Chesda to the beautiful country of Cambodia. Our tour guide made us feel welcome and as if Cambodia was our second home. Meeting wonderful people and even better food.

The Classic Cambodia trip was great. Having a small group of twelve travellers made it possible to get to know each other. Our Leader Long showed us real experiences of Cambodia’s history and culture. The trip ran so smoothly making sure everyone was comfortable and dietary requirements were catered for. We had lots of fun and learned so much about the country and its people.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Cambodia trip. The tour of S21 and the Killing Fields was very emotional and to meet two survivors of S21 was such a privilege. So many amazing experiences from the silk farm, floating village, incredible Angkor temples, farm visit and delicious fresh food I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. Our tour guide Chesda was amazing!

WOW! I am 26 years old and let me tell you, this trip is truly breathtaking and something I didn't realize I would enjoy as much as I did. The sites are all beautiful, our tour guide was fantastic and played a significant role in making this trip what it was. The accommodations were clean and nice as well as the tour bus they drove us around in. The food is amazing. If you want to see resilience and beauty in a country that has seen and felt true struggle and pain from its past, this is the place for you. I'd recommend it to any real travelers who will see its true beauty and bask in all it has to offer. I am in love with Cambodia and can't wait to go back sometime in the future. This was my first tour with Intrepid and will not be my last with them. Such a great experience!!
