Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
See the best of the Baltics in a week – soaking up centuries of history, getting a taste of the region’s hearty cuisine and meeting plenty of locals along the way.
Discover the best bits of Vilnius, from its legendary beginnings and UNESCO-listed Old Town to its tiny independent republic of Uzupis.
Uncover the treasures of Riga – both historic and culinary – on a walking tour through the cobbled streets of the Old Town followed by a Latvian lunch at the lively Central Market.
Take a breath of pine-scented air during a relaxing stay on forest-covered Saaremaa, the largest island in Estonia, sharing a dinner of local favourites before snoozing the night away in a log cabin.
Wander the streets of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town in Tallinn and attend a marzipan workshop in one of the oldest cafes in the city to learn about this delicious sweet treat.
Is this trip right for you?
We recommend packing light and smart for this trip as you'll be required to carry your own luggage between train and bus stations and hotels, which can include going up and down multiple flights of stairs, and across cobblestones.
This trip covers a lot in a week, so there are some long drives. However, all travel is in comfortable private vehicle or public bus, with one ferry ride. Please review the itinerary for details.

This was my first trip to the Baltics and it didn't disappoint! I enjoyed having the camaraderie of 9 fellow travelers. Our tour leader Peter kept everything running smoothly and was a treasure trove of information about the region. I'd recommend this trip for anyone who's looking to explore a different part of Europe.

This is an excellent tour to discover the differences between these three unique countries that tend to get lumped together! Chances to explore the history and food are a plenty with lots of free time to explore the cities in your own way. Tour leaders take all the stress out of trip so you can really have a holiday exploring these wonderful capital cities.

Highly recommend Intrepid Classic Baltic tour. It's a great introduction to a stunning and fascinating part of our world. Being led by Gundega, a local to the region was a valuable way to experience and understand some of the the challenging history and rich culture of the region. Love the small group profile of the trip and very much looking forward to exploring more of the Baltics!

If you like being on a big bus tour with 40 other people following a dull guide like a flock of sheep... don't travel with Intrepid, or if you want to be on a huge cruise ship with 1000s of people and you get half a day to see your latest post... don't travel with Intrepid. BUT if you want to experience the real world, try Intrepid. You won't be disappointed.
