Is this trip right for you?
verified
Be prepared for some long travel days as you’ll need to cover over 2000 km to see China's main highlights in this 8-day adventure, without a flight.
verified
This trip packs a lot in over a short amount of time, so it’s highly recommended you spend some extra time in Shanghai and Beijing before or after your trip to experience more of what these great cities have to offer.
verified
As a short, city-based trip, there isn't a lot of time to experience China's beautiful natural landscapes or get further off the beaten track. If you have more time to explore, consider China Experience (CBSE), or Beijing to Hong Kong Adventure (CBSJ).
verified
China’s world-class sites and experiences draw large numbers of local and international travellers. We recommend a little patience and comfortable shoes as you may need to wait before entering the more popular locations on your itinerary.

What an amazing time and Trip. My Dream was always to learn and See the real China. I learned the Tradition, See all places i Need to See and i fullfill my Dreams with that trip! I just Can say: Go for it, You will Never forget the Sunset on the Great Wall in Nature with less people, Shanghai, Peking and Xi’an and of course the traditional Food. I am lucky that i find this tour. Feel Safe every day, optional activities are possible and i learned a lot. Thanks again to Doris my group Leader i enjoyed every second on this intrepid trip.

I’ve wanted to go to China and this was my opportunity to travel safely on my own with an experienced guide. I met new friends and ticked off a lot of bucket list items. Our tour guide Jack was very friendly and helped with understanding language barriers. Thank you Intrepid. Absolutely loved it. Ready for another Intrepid trip to another bucket list destination very soon.

Highly recommend Intrepid Travel. I was by myself on the China Highlights trip and joined the most fun group of people. Our guide Samantha was excellent. The trip to the Great Wall and walking it at sunset and sunrise is something I’ll never forget.

This was my first trip on an organised tour and it was brilliant. Not sure I would have enjoyed China as much without this tour. Excellent guide who takes care of all the logistics. You just need to turn up and focus your time on soaking up the culture.

This is a great tour to see the highlights of China. It packs a lot in and with our enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour lead Feng, I had a great experience of soaking up China’s history and culture. One point to be mindful of is that I believe it should be a slightly higher physical rating of 3 as lots of walking which at times for me was tough in the heat, (Travelled in early September) however an amazing foot massage, soon sorted my tired feet out. I would highly recommend this trip.

This was an amazing tour, all thanks to our exceptional tour leader, Feng. We had 2 nights at most of the locations, so we didn’t feel too rushed. If you’re looking for a trip that hits some of the hotspots of China, I highly recommend booking this one!
