Trip Informations
Uncover the secrets of Cambodia’s mystical Angkor Wat region during three full days of exploration and adventure. Investigate these sacred temples and explore from Angkor Wat to Ta Prohm with a knowledgeable local guide. Be awed not only by the ruins but by stories of god-kings and lost civilisations, ancient mythology and fascinating folklore. Trek through the dense, steamy Cambodian jungle to admire Hindu sculptures that were carved into a riverbed over a thousand years ago, sample plenty of spicy Khmer dishes and meet locals who reside in stilted villages atop Tonle Sap. This is the perfect addition to any holiday in South East Asia.

On Short Breaks, you maintain a good level of independence and freedom, with the added bonus of having the details sorted out for you. You’ll have lots of free time and you won’t be accompanied by a Trip Leader. This means that all included activities and tours will be run by different local Tuuur partners, and these may operate independently from each other. The included activities and transfers will operate on a join-in basis, which means that you could have your Adventure all to yourself, or others may join you along the way. If you would prefer to travel in a group with a dedicated Trip Leader, just get in touch with your booking agent and they will take you through some alternatives.

We use a variety of hotels in Siem Reap, depending on availability. These hotels will be confirmed to you at your time of booking.

Part of travelling with Tuuur means respecting local cultures and sensibilities. That way you get the most out of your interactions with local people and environments and you will visit many temples on this trip, which requires a level of modesty. Be sure to bring clothes that cover the arms and pants or skirts that go past the knees. A light scarf is also a good idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.

Loved this short trip, covers so many major temples, very clear itineraries, loved also seeing the butterfly reserve, easy to link after flying in, great guides and drivers and a very central hotel.

Excellent itinerary. Siem Rep was beutiful. Worth every penny.
I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing Hom's guided tour, and it was nothing short of extraordinary! The trip would not be great if not for his hospitality.
You could feel his passion for the local history and landmarks. He expertly balanced information and anecdotes, making the tour insightful and engaging. His professionalism and personal touch made the experience unforgettable. 10stars!

This was an incredible way to see Angkor Wat and Siem Reap. We had a private tour through the temples which made it so accessible and great transportation to each site. I loved the butterfly sanctuary! Totally worth the stop to be in the beautiful garden and have a tour about how they raise butterflies! Our trip leader was amazing and so friendly!

Excellent trip as you had the day for included activities (with an excellent guide) and the evenings to explore on your own. I was most impressed with our tour guide, Dee, who was able to share not only facts and interesting things about the places we visited, but her own family connection and history in connection with the places we visited. This personal touch makes you feel a little more of a connection to the history of the place.

We had an amazing time exploring Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm , Pink lady's temple and Bayon with an extremely knowledgeable guide who did not present is the facts about the temples but also gave us a sneak peak into the local folklore.
Vanny, our guide made sure we are well taken care of and presented us with local markets where he got us an array of local sweets and street food. Trully an amazing experience that I have no doubt would not have been possible without our guide Vanny and our driver mr. "Hour". And on top of all that we managed to visit the floating , drive around busy Siem Reap in a tuktuk and enjoy a few traditional dances in the evening.

Our trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia was outstanding in every way and absolutely worth the price. Our guide, Dee, however was the highlight—truly exceptional—not just a guide but a cultural ambassador and a friend we just hadn’t met yet.

The tour of Angor Wat was the best part of my recent South East Asian holiday. I found I really gained in depth knowledge about Cambodia’s history and culture. I was very impressed with our local guide Toneth who allowed my daughter and I to really experience the archeological, environmental and historical wonders of Angkor. We also got to visit local markets, villages and food producers.

Our Intrepid travel guide made our trip to Angkor Wat truly come alive. Her grandparents lived across the street! Her stories of the temple’s history will live with us always.
