You will visit several temples on this trip, and this requires a level of modesty. Be sure to bring clothes that cover the arms and pants or skirts that go past the knees. A light scarf is also a good idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.

In 2025, Khmer New Year (Songkran Festival) will be on the 13th to 15th April. This is a fascinating and rewarding time to see the country, however, you do need to be prepared for some businesses to be closed, tourist sites to be very busy and for transport to be packed as many Cambodians are travelling around the country. Please consider your travel arrangements carefully before booking travel for this period.

Intrepid was an amazing experience full of fun activities in Cambodia, our leader Pat Steymom was an awesome leader for us, she kept the whole group engaged and encouraged us to participate in the optional activities. Definitely a experience you should invest in, very fun and you will learn a lot in a fun way.

Our family tour with teens around Cambodia was amazing- thank you Intrepid and our Guide “Mom”. We experienced and learnt a lot about the history ( recent and ancient), as well as enjoying some fun activities- the bike tour, basket weaving, and the optional ATV quad bike tour were also excellent. Although challenging the visit to the Tuol Seng prison and killing fields were also highlights for me and brought home the chilling recent history of Cambodia involving the Khmer Rouge. We got to meet a couple of elderly survivors and reading their books was very moving. Thoroughly recommend this trip to everyone.

This tour is an excellent introduction to Cambodia's history, culture and people. Intrepid's socially and environmentally responsible approach is a bonus. Out guide, Chesda, was excellent. Highly recommended. 10/10.
