Is this trip right for you?
You will visit several temples on this trip, and this requires a level of modesty. Be sure to bring clothes that cover the arms and pants or skirts that go past the knees. A light scarf is also a good idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.
In 2025, Khmer New Year (Songkran Festival) will be on the 13th to 15th April. This is a fascinating and rewarding time to see the country, however, you do need to be prepared for some businesses to be closed, tourist sites to be very busy and for transport to be packed as many Cambodians are travelling around the country. Please consider your travel arrangements carefully before booking travel for this period.

This trip was the perfect introduction to cambodian culture. The activities we did, the people we met and the foods we were lucky enough to make and eat all came together in an exciting, educational and enjoyable trip perfect for any family. I highly recommend this trip for families who love a bit of adventure but also like a nice swim and chill by the pool.

13yo girl, I liked that there was another girl my age on our tour, our guide taught us so much but not in a school kind of way so it was good, ngl food was hard for me and I lived on chicken satay with rice. Would definitely recommend this tour

Visit Cambodia with Intrepid. Do it! Book it now! We’ve been home in Australia for a week and we’re still processing how amazing our holiday was. We loved every aspect of our trip. Our tour guide (Channa Uy) filled our hearts & minds with local knowledge and experiences. She knew how to adapt to families with teens and ensure everyone was taken care of. Intrepid made the travel experience easy and smooth. Everything was taken care of, choices were given, accommodations were made. There was the right balance of activity vs down time so we never felt rushed. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another Intrepid Tour for families as it was a fantastic way to visit a new country.

Our family trip to Cambodia was even more special than I expected it would be. Our guide, Mom, made us feel like we were old friends from the moment we arrived. My husband and 2 teens also had a great time. I definitely recommend this trip!

Our Cambodia Intrepid Adventure 🇰🇭 What a journey! Eight incredible days—every moment packed, every corner explored. No minute wasted, no rock left unturned. We were beyond lucky to have the BEST tour guide in the world, our amazing Channa 🥰🤩. Eyes closed, we’d recommend this trip 100%! Cambodia is raw and real. No show ponies here—just warm, hard-working people with open arms and open hearts. Their genuine passion to share their stories and culture made this experience unforgettable. And of course… Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Prohm temples — spectacular. The build-up, the anticipation, the lifelong curiosity… all of it genuinely rewarded. These ancient wonders didn’t just meet our expectations — they elevated them. A true bucket-list moment we’ll never forget. Every activity felt under-sold and under-rated in the best possible way. From pottery and weaving to rice paper making, cooking classes, circus acts, and of course the buzzing markets—we were constantly surprised and delighted. It all exceeded our expectations. Can’t recommend it enough for families, teens, or anyone looking for connection, learning, and adventure 💛
