Why you’ll love this trip
Explore Buenos Aires, Argentina's vibrant capital. Tour its best sights, then wander its many corners at your leisure, from iconic historical buildings to tucked-away tango venues.
Join a local guide for an in-depth exploration of the city. Check out both modern and traditional neighbourhoods, including Puerto Madero, La Boca, San Telmo and the Recoleta Cemetery.
Find out what it means to be local when you head to the home of a Buenos Aires resident for a delicious sunset barbecue dinner on their rooftop, where you’ll swap stories and share traditional Argentinian food.
See Plaza de Mayo through your local guide’s eyes – the heart of the city and the place where it was founded.
Maybe opt to take part in an iconic Buenos Aires experience – watching a passionate tango performance.
Is this trip right for you?
On Short Breaks, you maintain a good level of independence and freedom, with the added bonus of having the details sorted out for you. You’ll have lots of free time and you won’t be accompanied by a Trip Leader. This means that all included activities and tours will be run by different local Tuuur partners, and these may operate independently from each other. The included activities and transfers will operate on a join-in basis, which means that you could have your Adventure all to yourself, or others may join you along the way. If you would prefer to travel in a group with a dedicated Trip Leader, just get in touch with your booking agent and they will take you through some alternatives.
This trip is operated by one of our local partners in Argentina and therefore you may be joined by a mixture of Intrepid-booked passengers and other travellers during activities.
Information may be delivered in English and Spanish, or just English depending on the requirements of the group.

This trip is a perfect way to begin a trip to Buenos Aires or Argentina generally. A great balance of time on my own to explore, and a city tour with guide and the asado dinner. Both the city tour with Marianna and Diego, and the asado dinner on the rooftop terrace were fabulous. I love Buenos Aires!

Recommend this trip regardless of how long you’re staying in Buenos Aires. If it’s a few days, do it first up, as it’ll give you ideas on where else to go. My guide & driver were wonderful & went the extra yard, and the rooftop barbecue was fabulous

Most of the Short Break in Buenos Aires were excellent. A couple of problems were solved by hotel front desk staff. We recommend going there, especially if you have some knowledge of Spanish.
