Bring layers to combat the heat, as well as sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.

I had a fantastic time touring Hungary and Romania, two very beautiful countries. Our tour leader, Georgi, was friendly, well-organized, and knowledgeable, and the members of the group got along well and enjoyed each others' company. The locals were very friendly and kind too. Highlights include the two homestays (Ramona's place and the village of Viscri), and hiking the hillside in Brasov to the panoramic restaurant at the top. I had the opportunity to try some local dishes throughout the tour and enjoyed the food and beers. I also learned so much about the history and culture of Romania from the numerous local guides we had the opportunity to meet throughout the tour. Andra's tour in Brasov was particularly engaging and highly recommended. Thank you for another well-planned tour, Intrepid!

My second trip with Intrepid and another that was simply fantastic. A Holiday with a capital H.
Adventure with local guides for people who hate simply cooking in the sun.

Romania is an amazing country to visit. This trip explores parts that are less known. Plenty of time to explore castles, palaces and churches.

This was a really worthwhile trip, to a lesser known area of Europe, with a group of like-minded people and leaders who worked well with us. Don’t do it if you want only 4 or 5-star hotels; but do it if you want to catch a glimpse of, especially Romania, off the beaten track!

Intrepid made our trip fantastic, everything was carefully planned for us to get to know the places we were visiting on a deeper level and actually get to know the culture and people. Also, our tour guide was fantastic. Couldn’t recommend Intrepid enough. 10/10!

The trip was fantastic seeing things that were not explained in the brochure. It was fantastic to see things in small villages and meet people eat different foods prepared by local artisans. You will be amazed by taking this trip young and old will enjoy and see how the rest of the world is actually living, and seeing how kind of hospitality you could expect from local, this truly amazed me would recommend to other people this trip as it was fantastic Budapest to Bucharest
