Trip Informations
Explore Australia’s sun-kissed East Coast from Queensland's capital, Brisbane (Meanjin), to the tropical hub of Cairns (Gimuy) on an oceanic trip that takes you from one beachside hotspot after another. Take an off-road adventure across the dunes of K'gari (formerly Fraser Island), explore the tropical waters of the Whitsundays, flop and drop on the palm-fringed sands of Mission Beach, soak up the energy and nightlife of Airlie Beach and explore colourful underwater worlds of the Great Barrier Reef in your free time. On this eight-day road trip, you’ll get wet in the waterfalls, wild in the rainforests and sandy on the beaches – what could be better?
Why you’ll love this trip
Take a 4WD adventure through the UNESCO World Heritage landscapes of K'gari (formerly Fraser Island). Ride across sand dunes and golden beaches while you explore the world’s largest sand island.
Venture into the wilderness of the Atherton Tablelands – take a plunge in a rainforest waterfall and admire the blue-green hues of Lake Eacham.
Embark on a full-day tour of the Whitsundays, where you’ll bushwalk to Hill Inlet Lookout, snorkel with tropical fish and coral, then relax on Whitehaven Beach as the sun descends.
Enjoy free time in Airlie Beach, Hervey Bay and Mission Beach, where you can hit the water and swim, kayak or take a boat ride or just kick back on the warm sands with a good book.
Explore Mungalla Wetlands with a First Nations guide as you search for aquatic birdlife and learn about the history and culture of the Nywaigi people.

Should the train not operate due to track works or other factors outside of our control, it will be replaced with alternative transport and an additional overnight stay. Please see the daily itinerary for more details.
Multiple activities on this trip are subject to weather and water conditions and on occasion, may be cancelled for safety or operational reasons. In the case of cancellation, we will endeavour to find a suitable replacement activity.
This trip is part of a combination tour, with other travellers joining from Sydney when you’re starting in Brisbane. It also forms part of a longer tour with extended exploration from Cairns. See trip codes PZSPC & PZSVC on our website for these options.

Overall a very well balanced itinerary, with organised guides who managed to contingency plan when things either weren’t available or the weather wasn’t accommodating. Knowledgeable guides informed the group of interesting facts and helped paint a picture of the areas being visited. Would definitely recommend them.

I am so glad I booked this trip! Queensland is a beautiful part of Australia and this was a great way to see a selection of places. The trip to the Whitsundays is a major highlight as well as the friendly and knowledgeable tour guides.

Jarred’s tour from Proserpine up to Cairns and making a loop to Cape Tribulation was a 10. It’s great for a traveler who wants to see it all , and watch the world go by from the bus window. It was rejuvenating to have new experiences , including lots of snorkeling adventure , and other cultural day trips which were fab. It Also included things that I would have never thought to do alone , like the visit to a bat hospital which ended up being a highlight ! Thanks ! 🙏🏻

My daughter, a best friend, and I joined the tour at Brisbane. We much enjoyed learning about Australia, the land, its people, and its history. The camaraderie with the other tour participants was exceptional as we came from many points around the world.
