Trip Informations
Nature, history and culture collide across Bosnia and Herzegovina on this round-trip seven-day exploration from Sarajevo. Recently touched by upheaval, the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina are eager to share their history and customs with you – through good food, traditional crafts and local stories. Spot wild horses in the mountains, visit a 16th-century dervish monastery built into the base of a cliff and go hiking to the remote mountain village of Lukomir. Tuck into home-made cheeses, pies and bureks, meet Sarajevo’s only female coppersmith and explore the historic and off-the-beaten-path town of Jajce.

This itinerary requires a good level of fitness due to exploring towns on foot and hiking.

Most of the accommodation on this trip is in hotels, however, you'll also spend two nights at a countryside guesthouse where accommodation is also in twin-share rooms. Many travellers find this experience offers a rewarding, authentic slice of rural hospitality.

This trip was truly a once in a lifetime kind of trip - we saw the most beautiful places, ate incredible food and learnt so much about the history of Bosnia. Overall, it was a really special trip, which was hugely helped by our tour guide Almedin‘s energy, enthusiasm and knowledge throughout. A real highlight was the wild horse safari and waterfall swimming. I would recommend this trip to anyone!

If you were thinking about this one, do it. This BiH adventure was the perfect combination of culture, history, cuisine, and nature. A packed itinerary, but never felt rushed. Our trip leader Almedin (Meme) went above and beyond, and we are so grateful to him for sharing this beautiful country with us!

Great way to explore Bosnia in only a weeks span. Meme is a great tour leader plus we had a great group. Be prepared to use cash in most cities including euros and KM. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that enjoys less visited countries.

Such an excellent trip, should note the hike was not required. Lots of walking though, but everything was amazing!

This is a great itinerary, it packs so much into a week, and gives a wonderful overview of this stunningly beautiful country. If you want to know more about the war, ensure you fit that in before or after, as this trip focuses on waterfalls, horses, cobbled old towns, castles, bridges, mosques, forests, mountains, food etc, which is lovely! Almedin (Meme) was so good at helping our group gel, we were one big family by the end!

Amazingly informative tour with amazingly kind people! Our tour leader (Almedin, aka Meme) was everything anyone could want in a tour leader: Knowledgeable, kind, organized. Perhaps uniquely, we only had private transit on our tour. This allowed for greater integration into the culture.

A brilliant trip combining modern Bosnian culture and history. A busy itinerary, but balanced well so we had ample time at each location and were never travelling for long in-between. MeMe (tour leader) was brilliant at bringing the group together and helping us all feel at ease.

This was my first group trip of this kind and it set the bar very high. It was one of the best holidays of my life. Bosnia is an incredibly beautiful country with a rich history. Our tour leader (Almedin) was very organised and ensured our group was having a great time throughout the trip, as well as being incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Bosnia. I wish I could do this again for the first time!
