Explore Australia’s oldest temperate rainforest with a visit to takayna / Tarkine– home to unique species that have evolved over hundreds of millions of years and are a living connection to the Gondwana supercontinent.
Hike the Dove Lake Circuit in Cradle Mountain National Park – passing the immense lake, high peaks of the mountain and lush vegetation while looking out for wombats.
See the highlights of the picturesque Tasman Peninsula, including the rock formations of Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen, the Tessellated Pavement and the tragically historic Port Arthur.
Join a bush tucker experience and learn all about the culturally rich landscape with a palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal) guide, then browse through the Salamanca Market in historic Hobart.
Discover the rugged beauty and delicious flavours of Bruny Island as you sample local delicacies and explore the national parkland where towering cliffs fall away into the crashing sea.

Best of Tasmania is an engaging and fun mix of scenery, local food & drink, and history in a variety of locales. A friendly, energetic guide encouraged group engagement, regaled us with fun tales of history, and provided opportunities to have fun as a group or break out on our own for short periods. An amazing introduction to a tantalizing corner of the Australian continent!

A really good way to see the highlights of tasmania. Quite expensive but really convenient. Now I know what's there i need to go back to see everything we didn't have time to see! Our guide Stacey was brilliant & we were really lucky to have her

Loved my first Intrepid tour, a great way to see a lot of Tasmania in 9 days. Easy booking process, great communication, friendly and knowledgeable guide. I'm now planning my next Intrepid Tour!

This tour of nine days took us from the northwest of Tasmania to the southeast and incorporated a wide variety of "must see" locations. For the first time traveller to Tasmania, this tour is an excellent introduction to its indigenous and colonial history, its geography and its flora and fauna, while also allowing the traveller to indulge in some of the finest seafood and farm products.

A very poor value trip, run on the cheap by Intrepid.

Tasmania is beautiful, and the hikes were all beautiful; the trip was terrible. "Comfort" level, but the van was small, and uncomfortable; our guide was absolutely not a safe driver (she even momentarily nodded off at the wheel a few times). I also paid for a single supplement, but I had to share a bathroom and a small cabin space twice, with no warning or indication from Intrepid that this would be happening. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this was my experience.
