verified
This trip involves some long travel days, including an overnight bus. The buses are well-equipped with comfortable reclining seats and on-board toilets. Snacks are provided but we recommend you also bring your own food in case you get hungry.

While at the estancia in Uruguay, you can choose to participate in the day-to day-activities of the farm as much or as little as you like. If you do choose to get involved, prepare for some early morning starts and to get your hands dirty when working directly with animals. I would travel with Intrepid anywhere in the world. Their level of knowledge and organization is unmatched. The guides I have had have become friends. I enjoyed every second of my trip. Parts of the trip have become the best memories of my life. Thank you intrepid, and Roberto Lima, our tour guide.

I cannot rate this trip more highly. The Estancia stay was an absolute highlight. Juan, our host, was a real character and absolutely made the experience what it was. Our leader, Luma, was brilliant and Iguazu Falls did not disappoint. Be warned- you will get wet!

The Best of Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil tour was an amazing trip! I loved that I was able to visit 3 countries (actually 4 as we visited Paraguay as an option activity) with a great guide in Guilherme. There were long travel days, but they were really not bad at all. Herding cattle on horseback at the ranch was fantastic (there are helmets, boots, and pants you can use) and getting offered to stay as a gaucho by Juan was the BEST moment!!! I fell involve with Uruguay and the Iguazu Falls are truly breathtaking. Make sure you add a day in Buenos Aires and Rio to visit the many sites (tango show, La Boca, Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf, etc.)! I made some good friends on this trip and loved each day!

The Best of Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil tour was an incredible taste of South America. There was a range of included and optional activities across the three countries that gave variety to each day. Horse riding in the Estancia and learning about Gaucho culture in Uruguay were true highlights, especially starting as a complete beginner! The Iguazu Falls are truly breathtaking, and I was so happy to visit the many sites that Rio has to offer! Roberto was an amazing tour leader, bringing enthusiasm and advice at every stage of the trip and ensuring that the trip ran smoothly. I would highly recommend this tour and spending extra time in both Buenos Aires and Rio to maximise your trip!

I took this particular Argentina/Uruguay/Brazil trip code as part of a longer Intrepid South America trip. A wonderful route through some of the highlights, with many opportunities for exploring, enjoying and participating in various activities and seeing sights. The core inclusions and optional elements made for a memorable adventure. Also had free time to do other things/go to bars/try a cooking class. The Uruguay Estancia stay was a very fun & unique horse riding and animal herding experience, out amongst your fellow riders working with cattle and sheep. If you are starting in Buenos Aires be sure to squeeze some days in before!
