Trip Informations
Travel to Bali and discover Indonesia's beautiful island escape. Dotted with small, character-filled villages, smouldering volcanoes rising out of lush rich fields, paradisical beaches and colourful reefs, Bali is everybody’s favourite getaway for a reason! Conquer the slopes of simmering Mt Batur, explore an underwater world in Bali Barat National Park, feast on delicious local cuisine and enjoy moments of absolute peace in Pura Ulun Danu Bratan – a Hindu–Buddhist lake temple dedicated to the goddess of the waters. Fall in love with the warmth of the people, the ornate customs and welcoming culture that are synonymous with beautiful Bali.
Why you’ll love this trip
Immerse yourself in Balinese culture by tucking into lots of delicious street food, meeting songket weavers, witnessing a traditional Kecak dance performance and visiting a Hindu-Buddhist island temple.
Hike to the summit of Mt Batur for a truly dazzling sunrise view that stretches across the Lombok Strait, all the way over to the peaks of Mt Rinjani.
Escape the tourists (and the heat!) in the lovely, peaceful village of Undisan, which sits in the lush Balinese hills.
Walk through the lush green surroundings of Ubud – Bali’s cultural heart – and gain an insight into daily village life.
Cycle, hike and snorkel – this trip is steeped in outdoor activities. Don’t worry, there's also plenty of free time to relax, bathe in hot springs or laze on the beach.
Is this trip right for you?
A good level of fitness is essential on this trip, as there are several physical activities included (cycling from Ubud, walking up Mt Batur at sunrise and snorkelling in Bali Barat National Park).
There is one very early start – your sunrise climb of Mt Batur kicks off at 3 am. This means you'll be walking over some gravel and volcanic rock in the dark. Head torches, warm clothing and good walking shoes are a must. The view at sunrise is well worth the effort, especially if the weather's fine!
We visit villages and small towns on this trip, where life is more conservative than in the tourist areas. You will need to bring clothes that allow your shoulders and knees to be covered for both men and women. At some hot springs, you’ll need to wear a t-shirt and shorts over your swimwear.
Bali is blessed with a consistent climate for most of the year. However, the rainy season (usually October to March) brings frequent downpours. The good news is that these rainy bursts don't last long, and it is usually still warm.

This trip was the trip of a lifetime. You really get a sense of what real and authentic Balinese life is like as well as getting to do lots of great and varied activities. I wish I could forget it all and do it all again for the first time!

Well travelled (and with Intrepid). This was one of the best tours I have been on. Great pace of sight seeing (great photos) and activities with some bursts of down time throughout the week. Great food, friendly locals, decent accommodations (just spent a little too long in the village). Well organized being able to see a lot of Bali covering major highlights. Biking was mostly downhill (if you are hesitant on activity level)

Beautiful Bali was a great tour to do and was a fabulous taster of what Bali has to offer. As a traveller in her 60s I felt completely at ease and comfortable on our group with ages from 18-64. Highly recommend.

The Beautiful Bali trip was one of the most amazing experiences I have had, with tour leader, Yan, providing a most engaging commentary and demonstrating an infectious enthusiasm that brought the group together in a way I have never experienced before. He made this a trip not to be missed!

My Bali adventure was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing group and tour leader, Yan. He didn't just show us Bali, he helped us experience its heart. Yan took care of every detail with kindness, patience and professionalism. Nothing was ever too much trouble. He generously shared his knowledge of Balinese culture, answered all our questions, and gave fantastic local food recommendations that led us to some incredible meals. There were so many highlights. The Ubud cooking class was a wonderful introduction to authentic Balinese cuisine and culture. The stay in Undisan and Sibetan Village was incredibly special, giving us a genuine insight into local life, traditions and the warmth of the Balinese people. Visiting the Global Village Foundation Kafe was both inspiring and humbling, and Warung Dewa Dewi served some of the most delicious food we enjoyed during the trip. The standout experiences for me were staying in the village homestay, climbing Mt Batur with the incredibly supportive local guides who ensured we reached the summit safely and in time for sunrise, and snorkelling amongst the beautiful coral reefs. These are Bali memories I'll treasure. Suksma, Yan, for making this such a special journey. 🙏🇮🇩
