Is this trip right for you?
verified
A good level of fitness is essential on this trip, as there are several physical activities included (cycling from Ubud, walking up Mt Batur at sunrise and snorkelling in Bali Barat National Park).
verified
There is one very early start – your sunrise climb of Mt Batur kicks off at 3 am. This means you'll be walking over some gravel and volcanic rock in the dark. Head torches, warm clothing and good walking shoes are a must. The view at sunrise is well worth the effort, especially if the weather's fine!
verified
We visit villages and small towns on this trip, where life is more conservative than in the tourist areas. You will need to bring clothes that allow your shoulders and knees to be covered for both men and women. At some hot springs, you’ll need to wear a t-shirt and shorts over your swimwear.
verified
Bali is blessed with a consistent climate for most of the year. However, the rainy season (usually October to March) brings frequent downpours. The good news is that these rainy bursts don't last long, and it is usually still warm.

The Beautiful Bali trip was a fantastic way to experience the real culture of Bali combined with some great outdoor activities. The highlights of these were the Sunset Volcano climb and the Snorkeling trip. I also really enjoyed the inclusive home cooked dinner provided by Ibu Wayan, who was a lovely local lady who welcomed us to her home. Best of all was our trip leader Yan who had excellent local knowledge and a great sense of humour and made the trip both educational and fun.

Overall this was a great way to experience all of Bali. We stayed in bustling towns and small villages. The trips were excellent and made all the better by our fantastic tour leader Yan. The home stay as should be expected was very basic so be prepared! Overall a brilliant trip that I would thoroughly recommend!!

It was a brilliant experience of Bali with Yan as our group leader. We learnt so much about the culture and did some incredible activities such as the volcano hike and snorkeling. The included meal in Lovina with this lady called IBU WAYAN was a highlight of the trip.

Beautiful Bali trip really was an amazing experience and our guide, Yan, made it even more special with his incredible joyful energy & enthusiasm for life, his great local knowledge and caring attitude as a leader made us all feel safe and happy. The mt Batur hike to watch the sunrise was the highlight for us. Fantastic overall experience that included a bit of everything from activities, culture to sightseeing.

This trip was SO incredible 🥹 I feel like I got so much more out of joining this trip than if I visited Bali on my own accord - we learnt so much about the local life and got many authentic experiences such as the homestay, local guides, home visits - which were so special and unique! As well as this, the trip included so many active outdoors activities which were so much fun! Highlights for me was the Mt Batur hike, snorkeling & white water rafting. Sika was such an incredible tour guide with her natural and friendly approach, and made things so much fun!! The whole group dynamic was incredible too, as a solo traveller I felt very included and made new friends. Highly recommend this trip!!! It was my first trip with Intrepid and I’m definitely going to join more now 💖

We had an excellent trip to Beautiful, Bountiful, Bali. Our guide, Sika was fantastic. All of the activities were well run and diverse. We were lucky to have a fantastic group to travel with. This was our first organised tour, but it won't be our last.

Beautiful Bali departing 22 Aug was a fun filled exploration of a number of lesser known parts of Bali. As a repeat Intrepid customer, it did not disappoint. Our sweet and caring guide Sika provided countless detailed insights into local customs food and culture, and was adored by the local guides as well as the group. Our group was magic, we got on exceptionally well and enjoyed sharing every experience. Karaoke in Sibetan, the 'honest' cycle guide, the snorkelling, Salak fruit and spirit tasting, the incredible food and the friendly balinese people.
