I was really excited to be learning more about The Balkans and this trip was perfect to do just that. I was incredibly lucky to have Marija as my guide and a wonderful group of six other travelers that made the experience truly enjoyable. This was an intense two weeks as you get to see a lot of places, a lot of which have a complex recent history along with learning so much about the more ancient history and culture of this area. Absolutely worth it- just be ready for a lot of learning, thinking… and walking! : )

Fabulous trip from start to finish. The scenery on the trip just got better and better. A lot of complicated history in these countries that reading up about may have been helpful. Petar our tour leader was very knowledgeable

Our leader, Dusan, was a fabulous tour guide who went out his way to ensure we had a great time. Wonderful group of people on this tour. We liked learning the history of the Balkans on this tour. Good to experience areas which are not full of tourists (at the moment).

This was a an excellent trip - great destinations and itinerary. This has been one of my favourite trips so far - there was a ‘wow’ every day.
For those who are unsure whether to take carried or wheelie luggage - you often need to carry your luggage up stairs, so I would follow the instructions to pack light (under 15kg), but i wish i had’ve taken wheelie luggage rather than carried.

Balkan Adventure- this tour was fantastic.
Dušan our tour leader was brilliant. We visited places that I had some knowledge of and now know more- the scenery was breathtaking, the history- fascinating and very moving, food amazing particularly for someone with dietary requirements, our travel group was so much fun.
Would highly recommend this tour particularly to see parts of Europe that aren’t so frequently visited but should be!

I had a truly memorable experience on this trip. I came away with a much deeper appreciation of the dynamics surrounding the former Yugoslavian countries. Bosnia was an unexpected highlight, and the scenery throughout was stunning. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone curious about the Balkans.

I had very little knowledge about the Balkans region. This trip gave me a big insight into the cultures, different histories and beautiful national parks and coastlines of the area. We had a good mix of people in our group and it tour leader was very professional and approachable.

My first trip to the Balkans and they were a great surprise to me. So much history and culture in a few countries plus some beautiful National Parks and coastlines. The Intrepid tour itinerary gave plenty of time to do my own thing and join in with the group. It was a great way to see the Balkans and a chance to make new friends.
