Trip Informations
On April 25th, 1915, Allied troops landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula. The military campaign that followed was disastrous for the Allies yet came to define the national psyches of Australia and New Zealand. Travel to these solemn battlefields on the anniversary of the landing and wander through Anzac Cove to the Nek and Lone Pine. Walk through the trenches, attend a moving dawn service and hear the stories of heroism and camaraderie immortalised in Australia's Anzac history. This journey provides a great opportunity to pay respect to the fallen of World War I and to reflect on what they fought for.
Why you’ll love this trip
Pay your respects to the fallen at Gallipoli – a moving and educational experience regardless of your age or background.
Take part in the true Antipodean pilgrimage – something every Australian and New Zealander should experience at some point.
Focus on the Anzac Day Dawn service, with all logistics to and from the site taken care of for you.
Start and end in Istanbul, making this trip to Gallipoli easy to organise during your stay in Turkey.
Have a barbeque dinner in Eceabat before making your way to the Anzac Commemorative site, where you’ll settle in for the night, ready for dawn.
Is this trip right for you?
This trip starts early on Day 1 and also a very late finish on Day 2. Please ensure that you allow sufficient time if you plan to travel on these days.
Be prepared to walk up to 8 kilometres between commerorative sites in mostly uphill terrain.

An unforgettable, deeply moving journey to Gallipoli for Anzac Day with my 18-year-old son. Standing where his great-great grandfather fell was profoundly emotional. Our guide, Ali, was exceptional—knowledgeable, warm, and respectful. Intrepid created an exceptional experience that we will treasure forever. Truly one of the most wonderful trips of our lives.

This was a moving and amazing experience. I would like to suggest that the tour bus departed from Istanbul at 9am or 9.30am. So we could arrive much earlier at the Gallipoli camp site. By the time our group arrived most of the camp sites were full. It was difficult to see and hear the ANZAC Dawn Service.

This was a fantastic way to see and experience the ANZAC Day celebrations at Gallipoli. This was a Bucket list trip for me and Intrepid made it not only possible but also, memorable and enjoyable. I learnt so much and now understand so much more about our shared history with Turkey.

Our tour guide was absolutely outstanding — knowledgeable, passionate, and incredibly engaging from start to finish. Truly one of the best guides we’ve ever had — we would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for an exceptional experience.
