Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Explore the Annapurna Mountains and capture the perfect photo as you watch the sunrise over the Annapurna Ranges at Poon Hill in an early morning hike.
Hike alongside an experienced leader and assistant guides and porters who will support and guide you along the way. Support a company that operates their hikes according to standards that provide respectful, safe and fair working conditions not only in Nepal, but on all trips globally.
Stay in mountain communities, meet the welcoming Nepali people and immerse yourself in the rich traditions of local villages and Sherpa culture along the way.
Discover Nepal’s compact capital in Kathmandu. With a limited amount of time spent here to discover its bazaars and temples, consider extending your stay beforehand to get a real feel of Nepalese culture.
Consider spending some extra time in Pokhara at the end of your hike. Maybe relax with your small group on the banks of Phewa Lake and take in the mountainous surrounds that you have conquered!
Is this trip right for you?
There are 6 days of trekking on this trip. You’ll be trekking up to 8 hours a day and at altitudes over 3000 metres at times, so you need to be aware of altitude sickness. Visit tuuur.com/altitude-sickness for more information.
It’s very important it is to be in good fitness and health, which means we recommend training in the lead up to your trip in order to be best prepared.
The trekking lodges, known as teahouses, that you stay in on the trek are very simple with only basic facilities. Hot water may not always be available and may cost extra, as will access to electricity points for charging devices. Wifi is available at some locations, but connections may be poor.
What you need to take will vary depending on the season you are trekking in and it’s important to be prepared. See some tips for what to pack here: tuuur.com/adventures/packing-guide-for-trekking-in-nepal. While you’re trekking, you’ll be provided with a duffel bag that a porter will carry. Your porter can carry up to 8 kg per traveller and any other luggage can be left in Pokhara to collect at the end of the trek.
The Annapurna trek is a popular route and you will encounter many other trekkers and groups on your trip during your hike and at the teahouses. If you are after a trek that sees less travellers and spends more time trekking through communities rather than on a more established route, see our Tamang Heritage & Langtang Valley Trek (HNXV).
Due to the nature of outdoor travel, please be aware that this trip will operate on an amended itinerary in high risk weather conditions.
